    Greasing the Bucket Truck boom

Following what the work truck dealer I bought it from did, 1. Start the engine 2. pull out the PTO knob on the right side under the steering wheel, (there is one on the left side also but the dealer I bought it from had no clue what it did) 3. push in the clutch then let it out, 4. go around...

    Greasing the Bucket Truck boom

The lady I talked to in the parts department of the company, that bought the company, that bought the company who made it said when she had the time she would look in the archives to try and find the operators manual then send it to my email address.

    Greasing the Bucket Truck boom

    Greasing the Bucket Truck boom

I just watched a video of a demo evacuation from a bucket using a repelling pope and a mechanical locking carabiner that lowers you when you squeeze it. $98 from EVAC w/50' rope [EDIT] to add clarity......I hope. :)

Can anyone tell me what kind of trees these are?

I tried lots of ways to remove/kill/destroy the Amur River Privet hedge (Ligustrum amurense?) that was taking over my central Arkansas property and the best hope seems to be pull it out with my truck then mow mow mow as it pops back up. Not sure how to best deal with this Elaeagnus (but I WILL...

    Greasing the Bucket Truck boom

Yes thanks. I was also thinking about maybe having an emergency bleeder valve installed with a fluid catch bag at the bucket to lower the bucket if all else failed. Just a thought.

    Questions about Large Tree Removal

Here is a solution to the stump problem but being in a city and on the outside of your yard may not work too well. Just thought it was cool.

    Greasing the Bucket Truck boom

Thanks. The man I got it from said the same thing about being careful in the bucket plus an old tree trimmer friend said the same thing when I said i was going to try and find me one to keep me off the ladders when trimming my orchard. In fact he is giving me his old harness. He also said to...

Can anyone tell me what kind of trees these are?

Thanks. These have been driving me crazy for 3 years. I've had to place hooks on my mower to carry pruners with me because they like to grow horizontally so my choice is mow around them or prune them back.....and back...and back. Didn't want to kill them until I knew what they were and if they...

Can anyone tell me what kind of trees these are?

There are hundreds of them on my property in North Arkansas and they seem to want to grow horizontally. The picture doesn't show it very well but the underside of the leaves are silver, sort of like the plant Dusty Miller. And they grow fast. I have to cut them back almost every time I mow or...

    Craigslist laughs

Lost another very large Red Oak.The center was hollow so no counting the rings but one of the limbs from it, the 3rd cut from the trunk was 22" across. I've had a hard time giving it away so I had to buy a log splitter that tilted vertical because the cuts were waaaaaay to heavy to lift. People...

    Greasing the Bucket Truck boom

Just bought a bucket truck. My first. The manuals/books on the truck (1990 F450 Superduty and the Knapheide body) were in the glove box but no manuals at all on the boom. On the side of the boom (Waldon uec 38 ft JG43-20D??? built in 1989 ) it say to use [Molylube DX 649 or equivalent]. Google...

    Questions about Large Tree Removal

I have done that same thing, well sort of. The stump is right beside where the gas lines go underground towards the house and I didn't want to take a chance. I first put some fake ferns and fake vines in it until I got some plants growing. Looks good and no explosion.

    Replacing Honda GCV160 N5AF w/ GCV190 N5AF

Stopped by 2 well established small engine shops today plus a Honda Motorcycle shop (at the suggestion of a yawn mower shop owner) but they didn't find a supplier for the GCV160 with the 7/8 x 1.14" shaft either.

    Craigslist laughs

Sorry to hear about you never getting free firewood.....without a catch to it. I have placed a few ads on CL for free firewood and mentioned it was on the ground. One caller asked me to not get mad when he told me he sold firewood. I told him I didn't understand why i would get mad and he said...

    Replacing Honda GCV160 N5AF w/ GCV190 N5AF

Bought a used 27ton Yard-Machine logsplitter about 2 weeks ago. The motor locked up yesterday so spent hours looking online for a replacement motor but can’t find one with that short of a shaft of 1.14". Found lots and lots of Honda GCV160 motors but most shafts were in the 7/8” x 1-13/16 to...

    Muffler Mod

What yall think about doing the Poulan Pro PR5020 50cc muffler mod where you drill a ½” hole between the 2 screws in the muffler? Saw it on a YouTube even with a side by side comparison but my old damaged ears couldn't tell the difference. Plus if someone was trying to prove a point they could...

Correct replacement chain for my refurb Poulan Pro PPR5020-BRC 20-inch 50cc chainsaw.

Finally finally found one. I have forgotten how many places I have called and online shops I have checked out with the help of google and you are correct Mr 'Old Guy", all I found all day was .325 pitch and/or 72 links. I sure have an odd ball chainsaw. Guess I better buy some extras anytime I...
