Thats why fallers keep a spare saw out in their quarter, cause you are going to get stuck sometimes. I used to work with a guy called Ricky "pinch bar" Williams
He would get stuck everyday...
If you read my post, I asked how long to expect a 400 series saw to last. Someone else mentioned the EPA criteria.
By the way, my consumer class Jonsered cs2245 has the 300 hour compliance sticker
I recently saw a post where that was said....what can you really expect from a 400 series Husky/Jred? Just curious,
I hear all these stories of ten cords a year etc..
You are correct of course, I am talking timber falling.....I didn't know this site was for firewood posts only. So different dimension trees, different types of saws.
Be proud of the work you do, even if it's just beetlekill jackpine!
Sorry Holycow I was a faller for years on the North Coast/Queen Charlottes. When you are bucking a six+ footer and the saw isn't bogging down, you can pull on the saw, you'll get through the log faster... in my experience
I have searched in vain! Can someone tell me if the 4mm bolts thread into straight plastic on the saw, or is there a metal insert moulded into the plastic?
Underneath there are two more bolts
of course
Just wondering about over torquing
Thanks for any help
