Yes I looked at the piston before and it appeared fine to me. Would the intake boot cause these symptoms?

The muffler is fine. There has never been a spark arrestor since I have been using it. When I take the air filter off I can get it run wide open for a couple of seconds but I have to take up the throttle slowly to do it. Then it will die out after a couple of seconds .

The H screw is only half off of being fully seated. What should I look for on the choke? I took the air filter cover off and it seemed to run a tad better trying to get to wide open.

I have an Echo 600P that has been used some and is past the warranty. The carb is set almost perfect, I’m going to remove the spark arrestor and inner deflector. Will there be much adjustment with the carburetor after the mod, mostly concearned with the high speed?
