    What string trimmer to get

Well my trusty Husqvarna 123l muffler modded finally won't idle and my Still fs 55 problem child won't rev up so I'm looking into a new string trimmer. Any recommendations on one with a straight shaft and some power?

    Cleaning silicone off case halves???

I just use my thumbnail and a toothpick for the groove. If it's really stuck on a light rubbing with steel wool. Make sure you use the gas resistant sealant on reassembly.

    Long Bars

I sold my bigger saws and mainly use 16" or 18" bars with no problems, I cut smaller wood from an old pasture so I have no need for anything bigger.

Stihl MS 211 bar and chain ?'s for replacements

I would sell the 18" combo and go with a 14" with Oregon 3/8LP 91vxl. Like mentioned above 16" would be pushing it. If your just going to use it to limb with you could switch over to .325.

Stihl people... What is all this?

Ok I got you now I thought it was more emission related. Thanks for clearing that up.

Stihl people... What is all this?

Correct I agree with you I was saying the carb adjusts per the reading of the emissions coming out of the engine. Which in turn makes it more fuel efficient with less emissions than running it rich.

Stihl people... What is all this?

The computer adjusts the carb per emissions. The non computer model you adjust the carb.

    MS 260 Head

Go to a machine shop and ask them if they could drill and tap a hole for a decompression valve. Chinese cylinder kits are hit or miss on quality like mentioned above but cost around $30. Better quality kits like meteor and cross are around $100+
