    CS-2511t Chain Options & Mod?

I didn't feel the need to mod mine. But I have a 35cc saw also, so I don't need every ounce of power out of the 2511. And I don't mind that it's not very loud. I'd give it a try and see how it works for you. On the other hand, if it's seeing continual use the muffler mod may help it run a...

    CS-2511t Chain Options & Mod?

I agree. If you need a super smooth cut for the sake of the plant, or a small chain for carving that will turn the radius of a small tipped bar, then the 1/4" chain would probably be worth the cost. But for just cutting stuff up a 3/8 works fine. Although the biggest stuff I've cut with mine is...

That natural brown with black pick guard looks good. Think I'll do the Harmony like so the paint won't get chipped up.

Oh...and by the way....that's a great looking 5105. Dolmars are real solid saws.

I was thinkin ukulele or tenor guitar. But maybe the Harmony electric could be a tiny bass. Maybe they both could.

I'm just starting out. Going to convert those to 4-string to make it easier to play chords.

    ECHO 2511T Best Bar Size?

I've tried 10, 12, and 14. I didn't like the 10". The bar and chain were made for an Echo pole saw. Just didn't feel right to me. Both the 12 and 14 work and feel fine.

    Echo CS 501P first impression

Think I'm going to go pick up an old Poulan 2750..or maybe it's a 2775, and sell all my other 42 to 50cc saws. Two of which are the lesser of the 501P and 550xp, in the 491s and 545. And the chunky hotrod 42cc 421. I don't use this size saw like a lot of people do. I have some nice lightweight...

What saw you got that will always start

One time, took me about 20 pulls on the 372...before I realized I didn't turn the switch on.

    16"/18" bar on MS362?

Dance with who.....uh....I mean, I just use what came with the saw normally. I do like the balance of 18" bar on my 50 and 60cc saws. And it kinda looks tougher. But I like that a longer bar can make a longer cut. If I were to have a 362, and not have any other 50, 60, or 70cc saws, I think...

Is Husqvarna Fading??? & West Coast thought's???

I'm sure there's a Husky dealer somewhere in the north Texas area. I just don't know where. Most dealers stock both Stihl and Echo. Maybe, possibly, a place or two with Maruyama, Redmax, or Shindaiwa. No Makita or Dolmar that I could find.

Top Handle or Rear Handle Chainsaw?

The 2511 is a wonderful little lightweight saw for everything under three inches(although it will cut much larger timber when needed). And it's compact size is nice for getting into nooks and crannies. Also doubles as a hedge trimmer some times. But my rear handle Echo 346 has a mile more...

    trail clearing saw

If I was hiking in, I'd absolutely carry my little Echo 2511T. 009L would be a fairly distant second, as it's somewhat compact with a little more umph and isn't too heavy or expensive. On a four wheeler I might choose a 50cc saw for those larger fallen trees that I couldn't drive over or...

    CS 590

I see used 590's all the time for around 180-200. Cheap enough if you need one. But if you have one of the Echo 15% off sales coming up, the $140 difference would be worth it to me to get a brand new saw with new bar, chain, sprocket, everything new.

    Muffler mods, spark arrestors etc.

Old Poulans have very large screens near the exhaust port, and many times its size. While most saws have a smaller screen equivalent to the size of the exhaust exit.

    New Saw Advice

There's always the CS-400 also. Noticeably heavier than the 352 or 361, along with more power. But a lot smaller and lighter than your 290.

    New Saw Advice

Not really harder to start. Just a little more effort to pull the rope. The 352 will start with the slightest of pulls. You could pull so slow and easy that you'd think there's no way it would start. But it does. To me, the 361P was better than the 352. It's lighter and more powerful. And I...
