How many Chainsaws do you own?

A paltry 3 here as well.

    Electric saw

That seems impossible for the same power to be created by both saws if the current draw is the same on each at a different voltage?

    Hard to pull start MS250?

My opinion only, but no saw in the 45cc range should need a decompression button, don't let that be the determining factor for getting talked in to a pro-grade saw. I'm a small, lean guy at 5'9" 170-175lbs and I start my MS250 without issue(it would perhaps be more correct to say I pull it over...

    Chainsaw related pet peeve‘s

My first saw was a Husky 460(for some reason it does not say Rancher anywhere on it?), I still have it, love it, and won't part with it as it was my first saw, but the 372 outclasses it by a fair bit.

    Favorite Saw You Own

This one is real easy for me, I only have 3 saws, a 372 XT, a Husky 460, and a MS250. The 372 is by far the nicest of 3 and I enjoy running it the most. The 460 is a distant 2nd as it was the first saw I ever bought. The MS250 is nice for longer walks clearing trails though as it's such a...

    Long bar on limbing saw

Speaking for myself only, I'd rather carry a larger, heavier saw with a 28-30" bar and work from a more comfortable upright position than use a lighter, smaller saw with a short bar and be bent over all day.

What saw you got that will always start

I like your choice of bars on those saws, one day I'll have to splurge and try out a lightweight bar.

Best saw to buy for firewood?

Haha, I was waiting for someone to mention a 2120 or 3120 in this thread, but with a 20" bar, because you know, it's only cutting firewood, no need to get carried away with a ridiculous long bar.......

What saw you got that will always start

I expect all 3 of mine will, but I have to give the nod to my Husqvarna 460, it sat with stale gas(ethanol gas at that, probably no stabilizer in it either) in it for 5+ years after I moved to a house with no wood stove on a lot in town so no property to maintain to speak of. It started on I...

You guys made me do it.

Jealous..... I have a 372 XP X-Torq and I'm contemplating buying another because I also feel like they won't be around forever. If I could find an OE at a good price I'd jump on it for sure. Nice find!

Stump Vice - are they all created equal?

In fairness to myself, I have hiked over 100km's this past summer and fall with my saws clearing blowdown from trails(and still going as recently as this past weekend). However, a stump vice just seems like extra weight so I don't own or pack one. Currently without a wood stove in my house so...

Saws with carb boots yea or ney?

I just tried out the ignore feature, it works great, you may want to try it as well........

    OK ... "462 vs 572"

I suspect you'd be correct, I rarely see heated grip saws up here in North Eastern B.C., but if I had to make my living with a saw in the winter months in these parts I'd sure own one.

    OK ... "462 vs 572"

That's so dumb, why won't they sell those models of saws in the U.S.?

    Husqvarna Chain Saw winter kit?

I've run my MS250 and 372XP X-Torque in -20 Celsius temps before, the only issue I encountered was from me being a dummy and not replacing the heavy bar oil with a light weight oil, that ended up gumming up the MS250 so bad that I had to remove the bar and chain numerous times to clear out all...

    40:1 in an MS261C-M??

I split the difference and go approx. 45:1 or maybe slightly richer, but typically never any leaner than that. 372 XP, Husky 460, MS 250, and FS91 all seem to run well on that mix. I just figured a little rich is certainly better than a little lean.

    Chainsaw related pet peeve‘s

Best part of it was, while we were bucking up the tree I helped him get down in his back yard he was having issues with his pull starter, the cord wasn't retracting and he was frustrated because it's pretty much a brand new saw. Turns out the recoil assembly was kind of cockeyed, it just had to...

    Chainsaw related pet peeve‘s

Watching my buddy try to tear the starter cord out of his saw and mine each time he attempted to start them was gnawing at me, I don't know why he thinks he needs to pull it to a painfully jarring stop each time, but he always seems to do it. Also watching his bar smoking in the cut was painful...

Horse power and chain size Husqvarna

I've run a 24" bar on my 460 Rancher for years, but I did go with a skip tooth chain. It works, but I wouldn't say it's a fast cutter by any means. Now that I have a 372XP with a 24" bar and full comp chain I'll likely downsize and get a 20 or 18" bar and full comp chain for the 460, I think...
