All this for fuel lines… plus a fuel line question

Got it back together. Actually went back together very quick, guess once you’re familiar with everything. Fired up on the 2nd pull and dialed in the H/L a little bit. Still needs more but good enough to trust again when needed!

STIHL IS REDESIGNING ALL OF THEIR BARS! NEVER SEEN NEW SAWS!

Well those sure are ugly, I know they fill fade off but what about simple graphics? It's not a fashion statement to run saws

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Definitely some metal in that tree, makes me a little worried about getting into it, that pile will be dead last for sure. And I have my eyes open for a gently used 395 or the red version, but the used market sure is high! At least locally that is. Chainsaw addiction is real!

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Took another load out today. All of the easy stuff is now gone. All that’s left is the monster stuff and crotches/notches. Going to move these two loads up into my drying area in the back of the property on Saturday and rethink my plan and attack next week. Need to sharpen up some chain too!

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Tried noodling off one and the center was solid as a rock! The small stuff was splitting beautifully. Love this red oak, very happy to take what I can get. Once the easy stuff’s gone I’ll spend some time on the big pieces. Just tough to get to some the way it’s all stacked.

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

A guy I used to work with gave me the go ahead to take as much as I wanted from some trees they had taken down. Some really big stuff that I don’t have enough bar for, or the muscle to split by hand, so doing what I can over the next few days after work. Hoping to pull at least 2 more trailer...

All this for fuel lines… plus a fuel line question

I was wondering why the stock photos came up with a curly line when I was looking up stock parts for it... this makes sense so maybe a stocker would be best. Off to Fleabay I go... Thanks for the help Going to order up some 3x5 to keep on hand as well for other saws/equip now that I know the...

All this for fuel lines… plus a fuel line question

Think I would be wise to get the 3x6 and make it fit? Last thing I want to do it tear this down again in the short term for a leak behind the bar plate etc

All this for fuel lines… plus a fuel line question

Thanks for responses guys I will hold off until I get the correct line then. Yes looks 3x5 but I will double check before ordering

All this for fuel lines… plus a fuel line question

I climb less than 5 times a year so my trusty 338xpt has always been more than adequate for me. Had a hard life before me but has been great. Well went to go climb a pine last week and it just wouldn’t run. Ran through all my regular easy stuff and decided to throw a carb kit on it (original...

lowes has quart cans of 4 cycle true fuel for $1.72

Thanks for the heads up on this, they didn’t have any quarts left but they were selling the 110oz 40:1 for $4.72 each so I grabbed 4. I normally mix my own but worth it for some non-ethanol fuel!

    HF Chain Grinder Thread

Just got one of these cheap HF guys from my in-laws for christmas :) They heard me complain a few times about sharpening by hand and I guess they wanted to help. I don't expect miracles, but hoping it will be good to clean up chains after they get lent out to other family members and inevitably...

    Raker Depth Gauge

I use the Westcoast saw raker plates, work well for me. I have them for all the different chains I run or sharpen

    Need help on saw decision

100% rebuild your 359, but get the 550 to get you through till after its done. Every time I rush a fix to get back in the game I end up doing it again shortly after... I put a new top end on my 357 and got a well known working condition carb from a member on here and had my saw running...

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Had a whole row of stacked wood fall over last night, no idea why. It was very solid last I checked, and the base was still darn close to level. Oh well it’s stacked back up now. Also still waiting for a handle from whisky river trading co to fix my smaller axe, ordered 10 days ago and have...

When do people start buying firewood and how do I get more business?

My friend sells the bulk of his wood from sept-nov. like others said December is dead. He gets a few “emergency” orders for folks who weren’t prepared in late winter around February but other than that it just sits the rest of the year

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Probably not the best spot but I know this thread sees a lot of eyes! I was cutting up some logs I had dropped off and bucking them to length this afternoon, while I had the saws out I decided I would try and cut as low as possible two stumps I have on the property, 20"+ red oak stumps that are...
