    Bandit 200UC blown engine

See the attached 200UC manual, page 20 lists the engines used in that model. This is probably a newer model, but the chassis design may be similar to your vintage. Facebook market place lists a Kubota V3600 engine for sale in NY. GL

    CHIPPER CHIP CHIP

This is the autofeed working as it should. If you don't like this feature it can be bypassed, but notice how the engine bogs down and how quickly the feed wheel stalls. I purchased a BC1000XL auction chipper with autofeed bypassed and after several stall events I removed the modification.

    2017 Vemeer BC1000XL diesel 49hp?

Search for an older model with the pre-emission 85HP Cummins Turbo Diesel. Autofeed senses engine rpm, so hard, larger pieces will take longer to chip. Since the BC1000XL is a drum chipper I would be cautious about overloading that could affect drum balance. Vermeer does not service the drum...

    Vermeer BC700XL throttle issue!

Check out section 5 of the engine service manual. Problem with auction units, buyer has no clue about the service history.

    Vermeer question

All sensors are old tech analog switches. The water and oil pressure sensors can be tested with an ohm meter. Can you share the history on this issue? Is this a new to you chipper? Assuming the wiring has not be tinkered with, if the fuel LED turns off there is likely an engine condition...

    Vermeer question

OK The oil pressure and water temp senders are wired together, the reason for the Controller Oil/Water OK LED. The red LED is indicating either the water temp or oil pressure is shutting down the engine. Since the shutdown occurs when the engine is cold a best guess is the oil sender is...

    Vermeer question

What is the build date of this machine? Where are you reading the oil pressure. Not all models have a oil pressure gauge. Does the yellow info light, above the rear gate, blink when the machine shuts down?

    What’s it worth

In the DC metro area BC1000XLs, with similar hours and age, are listed around $13K. Depends a lot on physical condition. Beater machines do not make a good impression with customers. Who knows the actual sold price. 2013 Vermeer BC 1000XL Vermeer Bc1000xl wood chipper Caterpillar diesel...

2009 Vermeer BC1000XL feed-wheel only feeds when holding reset button

Agree^^^ Is the yellow info light blinking? The yellow one in the center between the tail lights. If so there are two bump bar micro switches that can cause this. The switch access panel is on the left side of the gate. While monitoring the E-Stop LED, on the smart-feed controller behind the...

    Need Vermeer 1250 electrical diagram

There is nothing more than what is pictured. Good decision to reconnect the senders. The PO may have experienced intermittent issues with the senders shutting down the engine. Better to fix the issue.

    Need Vermeer 1250 electrical diagram

Been down this path with Vermeer. Service manuals, that include the diagrams, are only available from a dealer. Local dealer wanted $250 for a service manual reprint. Occasionally a service manual will be listed on Ebay Here is a screen shot of the BC1000Xl. Don't know if there is any...

    Older Bandit Autofeed help

This model does not have the capability to retract. That requires a feed roller hydraulic reversing circuit.

    Older Bandit Autofeed help

So this isn't a modern day auto feed. Pins 2 and 3 on the Murphy controller are normally closed, controlling a solenoid? Is this for the feed roller? Apparently the time relay pauses the feed roller long enough for the engine rpm to recover. Returning to your original question, what is not...

    Older Bandit Autofeed help

I don't have a 280XP hydraulic diagram. What solenoid will the murphy control? If the feed roller is stopped, with the tree material against the cutting wheel, how will that work?

    Older Bandit Autofeed help

The transducer at the engine flywheel is probably feeding a signal to the engine tach and Murphy. A schematic would show how its routed. What is missing is a method to control feed roller forward and reverse. When engine rpms falls below a setpoint the feed roller stops and then reverses...

    Older Bandit Autofeed help

This is helpful! Run the engine at the desired RPM and adjust the SPEED ADJUST pot counterclockwise until the ENERGIZE LED comes “ON” and the relay has transferred. The energize light should turn on and latch with an engine overspeed condition. pin 8 supplies an overspeed signal to the stop...

    Older Bandit Autofeed help

The white box is a time delay relay, the knob adjusts the delay timing. With the zip ty mounting this looks like an aftermarket mod. Hard to know the purpose, have not found any wiring diagrams online.
