    Thank you. Is the o ring located within the detent cover? This was listed as a "nortrac" brand but someone else must make it because I can't find anything online except the link to the buy it the at northern tool site. No spec sheets or parts lists.

    Replaced the control valve in my mtd splitter. The original stopped working. The new one seems correct and the splitter actually performs much better... Except it now spits fluid out of this notch on the detent cover. The old one did not have this knotch. I assume it's some type of pressure...

    Wyrdman. I will try that. I thought given the high pressures most hydraulic systems were essentially self-bleeding... I guess if the bubble is in the cylinder and not the line that could be a different story. I assume I just extend the ram and then collapse it with the cap off of the fluid...
