    "You Suck" Thread 2022"--Pics required!

Howdy, ladies. Been a decade since I've brought home a chainsaw and 20 years since I've "collected" but I guess old habits die hard and I've been drowning in power equipment this month. Mostly various snowblower parts swapping but did get some AS content. -Went to pick up a free "non-running"...

    Old McCulloch story?

I ran across my old thread just by accident, but in case future generations were reading this I thought I'd post the actual story. My father got the names wrong but the rest of it was legit: http://kendo1938.bravesites.com/catalina-pby-n5593v

First saw pickup in a few years--anything I should know about a Husky 154SE?

Thanks guys. Seems like a really nice one. Gotta get it cleaned up and get pics.

First saw pickup in a few years--anything I should know about a Husky 154SE?

You guys have probably noticed I've been absent here for a while. Well, old habits die hard so I grabbed a Husqvarna 154SE at a yard sale for $45. Runs well, has chainbrake and newer chain. Seems like a nice unit. What should I know about this thing? Looks like it shares a basic design with...

    Swap meet...

Anyone have a throttle e-clip for a Stihl 032? Will fit many, many Stihl models. Mine jumped off and it seems gone for good. Also, a 032 gas cap that isn't leaking or falling apart would be great. Edit: Remembered I could use a gas cap for a McCulloch 10-10 too.

    Greasing Clutch Springs

Just stick a grease gun in the spark plug hole and keep pumping until it won't take any more.

Stihl 032av running again, but idles way too high

Throttle plate's good. I took it apart and the impulse hose looks like it was starting to crack. That hopefully solves that anyway. Anyone know if an older-style 031 muffler (with the exhaust "pipe" bolting to the cylinder) will fit an 032? My 032's suffering from cracking muffler syndrome...

Found this is a gas tank--what the heck is it?

    Mine's an F2T! Extra rare!

Found this is a gas tank--what the heck is it?

Ah, but are yours OPE-sized? I should charge more since mine would be perfect for a chainsaw.

Found this is a gas tank--what the heck is it?

Bingo! You got it. I was thinking it might be something like this but I couldn't find a picture that looked like it on my own.

Found this is a gas tank--what the heck is it?

Pictures to follow shortly. Working today on a nice Echo string trimmer that'd been in my backlog for a while. I found this funny capsule thing rattling around in the gas tank. It's a green plastic cylindrical cage with two metal "buttons" loose inside it. They look like zinc. Anyone know...

    What was your 1st chainsaw?

First chainsaw was a Wen Hornet electric. Later, I got a Stihl 032av and a Homelite SXL-925 at a yard sale at the same time. Those were my first gas saws. That's probably about 11 years ago now.

Stihl 032av running again, but idles way too high

After sitting for ten years I finally got around to putting my 032av back together with a new carb kit. Starts on the first pull, revs and runs fine, but it idles way too high even with the speed screw taken out. Normally I'd say it's an air leak but I can tune it rich just fine and it doesn't...

    Couple of old Jonsereds in...

My 111S (now cbfarmall's first) originally came with one ring. I think I asked about it way back when and the consensus was "might as well put the second one in while it's apart" so I did.

Nah, I almost never used the old girl. She'll be happy in a new home, and I can pay my bills. And I have a mint Homelite Super XL-925 for when I need to scare the neighbors.

    My 3 saw score tonight

At one point I had an 041 carburetor. I may still have it. Interested?
