Stihl chain on Oregon SpeedCut bar

You may want to try the stihl. Some of the husky chains i've heard are made by Oregon. Ive got both oregon .325 speedcut nano and husky sp21g they are pretty close to the same chain. Both streched

Stihl chain on Oregon SpeedCut bar

I have the Oregon speed cut nano and it really seemed to stretch the first couple tanks of gas. I'm mean like had to tighten like 6 times on a tank of gas. After a few tanks it seems a lot better.

    Stihl restricted air system?

I've always been a die hard Stihl guy bought my first husky a few weeks ago, so far pretty happy and impressed by that little husky. What size saw are you thinking about?

    Stihl Flippy Cap solution

I've got a 250 that's probably 20 some years old and a 362 that's 13 years old, I've broken one cap in all those years. The only time it's hard to get the oil cap on is if you over fill it. I think they are easier then echo or husky that I have to screw several turns.

Weird piston action in a blown Stihl 500i

Hopefully you got it fixed and it runs for a long time. I know I'd probably cry if my pretty new 1600 dollar saw blows up.

Weird piston action in a blown Stihl 500i

You state the saw has been used commercially for a year, Stihl says 3 month warranty for commercial use why would you expect them to warranty it. If they refused to fix it under warranty it would be one thing but it's 9 months beyond the commercial warranty.

How was I supposed to know that?

We had to wear those orange safety vests at work. There was a warning on the package. Caution this vest will not protect you from moving vehicles. Not much point in wearing it then.

    Cool Little Saws

Take another look at the Oregon it is thicker Take a closer look at the oregon i think it is also necked down. It starts to neck down higher up like inline with the rivet holes. Its hard to see but can feel it when i run something sharp across it.

    Cool Little Saws

I just picked up a sp21 and oregon 80txl so i could compare both. To me they look pretty much the same with a few different markings. Necked down driver are you saying the upper part of the driver where rivets go thru is a hair thicker then the lower part that rides in the bar.

    Help deciding on Stihl Saw

I'm not sure I'd like one saw i could do with 2 maybe. I'm pushing 70 so a big saw gets tiresome. I like a smaller saw for limbing and cutting small stuff but need a big saw for larger wood. When i was younger i got by with a 90cc johnsred as my only saw
