I have a ms 311 with a broken piston. I'll at least need a top end kit. I might need or want to buy the whole block and crank with head etc. What are some brands or kits that are decent or medium quality? thanks

we got rid of the 2 290's and keeping the 2015 ms311 so that is gonna be our rebuild project. do you have any links for shortblock and just setups for standard replacement or upgrading also ms311 top end heads

also cheap but good or middle of the road rebuild kits or full motor kits crank to head????

I got 3 powerheads that all need to be rebuilt. both 290's have scored pistons and heads and the 311 has a broken piston skirt. engine sizes are around the same but were the old ones built better ? or the newer 311 is better? I'm probably only gonna keep one and maybe fix the others to...

I have a Maruyama MC261/321 powerhead which is for a multicutter system. The pole chainsaw I believe should be a MC-Ps10/11 or MC-PL10/11 . It's not oiling so I'm trying to get down in to the gears but I'm clueless on out to get the rim sprocket gear out. I can't find a good picture of the part...

I soldered it for now . I have spark. I'm waiting for a carb rebuild kit to see if all runs first. then I'll do a repair I'm not sure I'f im gonna get the stihl stuff or after market

but do I get better quality parts . The dealer told me the boot is $5 I haven't asked about the wire and I do have the spark plug end piece but I'm not sure if i need a new one

It looks like i have a 1984 026 and the coily part that snaps on the the spark plug has separated from the stranded wires. Can I just solder it or can i replace the whole line to the coil?

the straight one is what i have but some people say to switch. have you heard anything?

The older Stihl 026 fuel line in the tank part is straight and short like the filter goes straight up and down and the end of the filter sits on the bottom of the tank vertical . the newer 026 fuel line is an S shape inside the tank and longer but the S shape holds it high also where it seems...

I have to check this weekend. I know you can upgrade the oiler on the ms362 with a ms441 or something but can you upgrade any of the other oilers on stihl saws?

I noticed that the oiling hole in the stock bar doesn't line up with the oiling hole/passage on the saw at all. I noticed it on my ms271 also . What is the deal with that and is that why all these stihl saws have low oil out put ?
