    Frankensaw 266se starting issues

I'd take a quick look at your tank vent / fuel cap to see if it's working properly.

    Stihl 024 side tensioner conversion?

I had forgotten that model only had one stud; is the side cover sitting fully proud of the stud threads when it is on? What I am asking is: does the nut fully capture the cover and bar or is it hitting the end of the stud threads?

    Tachometer

The hardline is a confusing tach, it gives three max rpm: 8k, 16k, 20k. However the resolution is 0.5s/1.0s which is decent for a device with a screen in that price range. Does not provide a sample rate; based on the above 3 numbers I would guess its possibly 16khz and the 20khz is obtained...

    Stihl 024 side tensioner conversion?

How tight do you set it? Do you tighten it more after you lock down your bar? It is the cover bolts and nuts that hold the bar in place, the tensioner just keeps the bar in place until you can torque down the nuts. The tensioner nub would never be strong enough to hold by itself, even in the...

    Frankensaw 266se starting issues

If an engine will start up and then die out, pull the plug and see if its dry. If its dry you have an issue in your fuel system as stated above; from annoying things like your tank cap to leaking lines to failing carb components. If the plug is wet, you need to determine what kind of wet and...

    Forester Hi-Viz Wrap Chaps

Not sure now, fencing chaps are knee length to handle barb wire. But now that you ask, I think I have saw what you describe. Like this? Not sure I've ever really seen images of someone cutting through their thigh.

Too bad there are no zipper covers or that the zippers are not taped.

For that price and delivered, the bit of work to fix the rounded drivelinks with a triangle or square file that size might make it worth it. Not sure you could get a grinder in the right position? As a grub, definitely worth it.

Depends how many rim sprockets you have. Edit: rounded drive links, larger straps, larger rivets, cant see a cutter flat to compare.

    Stihl 024 side tensioner conversion?

I would think you'd have to mill your case, however maybe not. I can not say I've ever had a problem with a front tensioner, what happens to yours and do you know what causes it?
