How To Remove Tree Suspended at Both Ends

No way, imo it is a very rare case where a picture is enough. However, I also try to offer constructive advice…in this case I have essentially advised working from as great a distance away as possible. Covering all of the variables in an initial response is something I do not have the patience...

How To Remove Tree Suspended at Both Ends

Agreed with both of the above. BUT…if you have no insurance and have already ‘written off’ the integrity of the bb court, and cleared any branches that are poking through the balcony spindles, attach a winch cable where the yellow arrow is, secure winch at base of red arrow tree and winch it...

The Darwin Chainsaw Award Winner Is

Even old ladies should be allowed to experience the rush of cutting a deserving tree down. In similar circumstances I have pretended to be pleased they want a go themselves and just ask them to let me watch to keep an eye out for those sneaky problems that only someone with lots of experience...

    New thread

Trees don’t heal, they seal…generating new live tissue around ‘dead’ tissue. The more live tissue they put on the stronger they will get but there will always be an inherent weakness. I’ve nut and bolted many trees that are still alive, most having long since engulfed the metal work. I pity the...

    200T Chaincover Issue

Deja vu here…I swear we had EXACTLY the same thread not that long ago…maybe even the same saw in the pics. Or……I’ve evolved into Mystic Meg

    Ms400

Doesn’t altitude have the same effect on all engines, manual carb or autotune/mtronic? I’d rather have the right mixture with less power than the wrong mixture with less power.

Stihl should be ashamed of themselves.

    Thank you Sir 😂

Stihl should be ashamed of themselves.

Been running my 500i ‘professionally’ for over two years. What is 100% apparent is NOBODY is evidencing all these failed and or low compression 500i’s out there. I’m done with this BS.

Time to replace with a T540i xp 😂

    Fire sale!! Stihl 201TC

Cylinder, piston, crank, crankcases, clutch and carb on eBay, the rest is scrap

    Fire sale!! Stihl 201TC

Yes I’ve seen similar from a distance. I expect the tank fractured and fuel leaked too close to the spark plug. At least it was your fault and not the groundies…and that the saw hit the ground and not someone’s helmet

Whereas I think the Zubat pisses all over the Gomtaro 😂

Stihl should be ashamed of themselves.

It’s a non-issue. Where are all the failed 500i’s that such an awful air filter design should lead to? Oh yeah…there aren’t any

People don't yet take battery operated chainsaws seriously.

I have two of the bli300 9.4ah batteries. Cutting speed is not the be all and end all to us…though in a race they are likely very close. The battery out-performs the close petrol equivalents for us simply because of the environment around the saw during use…no screaming during WOT, no endless...

Agreed. I cannot attest to the ‘thereness’ of the Stihl offering (never tried the Stihl platform) but the Husqvarna one is definitely there

People don't yet take battery operated chainsaws seriously.

T540i XP is right now the industry standard ‘new’ th saw in my neck of the woods…so good that I don’t pick up any sub 60cc saw; we all prefer the 540i XP IMO this is the first battery saw that outperforms it’s close petrol rivals Locally I’m not the only person who thinks this and I bet there...

    70cc saws dyno shoot out

I saw this in the middle of a thread earlier and thought it warranted it’s own thread. Very interesting video which mostly backs up my own experience with three of these saws.

Tips on funding for a new business

My advice from experience, start small without loans and grow naturally. The numbers of guys over here on this little Island that immediately sink £70,000 into truck, chipper etc so that they can look like ‘the real deal’ immediately would amaze you. Yes they look pukka but you know they will...

Lopsided tree due to powerline arborist maintenance, dangerous?

Obvs not aimed at pdqdl…just couldn’t be bothered to go back, find and reread that stupid comment

Lopsided tree due to powerline arborist maintenance, dangerous?

Someone needs to wind their neck in, work in the industry as a qualified arb for more than a decade without killing themselves or someone else and likely be less of a tosser in general before they say all arbs on here are shite
