Oh I see, I didn't realize the coil came apart like that. Does it come further a part to easy to swap the spark plug wire? Where did you get the Tecumseh part number 610-371 from? Because it looks like these would be a close fit too possibly...

Roots Lumberjack Chainsaw with AH-81 engine

Magnets seem fine as they pull a screw-diver from a half inch away. Also cleaned with electrical cleaner but still nothing. It really sucks taking this thing apart over and over. Im guessing this will just become a wall hanger sooner than I wanted. Just would love to see this thing run again.

Roots Lumberjack Chainsaw with AH-81 engine

I gaped to .020 and the points looked clean, so I used the dollar bill to semi-polish them b/c that's all I had at the time. I know that's probably not the proper way to do it but could that actually be the problem? I didn't want to take it that far apart in fear of damaging the old 50yr old...

Roots Lumberjack Chainsaw with AH-81 engine

Thanks guys! I gave the saw a slight wiped off with a rag, so check out the attached photos to this post. I plan on gently washing and degrease the saw when I have time. THATS IT! THANK YOU! Can you send me more photos of different angels of your setup? I see that I will have to fab a 90°...

Roots Lumberjack Chainsaw with AH-81 engine

Hello, I was hoping someone can help me. I have a Old Roots Luberjack chainsaw with a Tecumseh AH-81 engine. Im guessing this chainsaw was hardly used because of its amazing shape with minimal wear to the original paint. However, the carburetor is missing and I’m trying to figure out what...
