Thinking of leasing a truck - which way to go?

And this effects you how ? So let’s say that is the case - I did not ask for opinions on if It’s should spend my money - only recommendations on what brand/options to spend it on. I never said I am looking for the best investment for my money...there are many better investments than a...

Thinking of leasing a truck - which way to go?

Ok, so I’ve been debating a “new” truck for a while - and think I’m ready to make the commitment. What I’m debating - lease a new vehicle. The reasoning is 2 fold. 1. I have a free company vehicle available for use. Gas and insurance paid for - so as a daily driver - my truck gets very little...

Mixed feelings about a saw sale

Business is business...if I am selling for a business, it’s not MY business who buys what...only that I make enough to cover my cost and keep my employer happy (if I am working for someone or on commission). There is nothing wrong with giving guidance - telling someone what may or may not work...

Want to Sell 026 Pro shelf queen

Oh good...here we go again. As I said last time, I am NOT a fan of calling out sellers we judge to be “overpriced” - that said - AA’s reply wasn’t out of line...It’s not like he said - “hey, your double what most peoplelike pay” - he simply pointed out the ask was near what a new model was...

Want to Buy Stihl 026 Value?

Agreed with above. If they have no idea what they got, they might bite. Or if they know something you dont and they arent saying. Check around, very similar comps at $150 price point...if you want it and it checks out, better offer $135 if you want a reply. At that point he looks cheap...

    Reasonable expectations from sellers

And here we had torches and pitchforks ready...way to ruin a good Friday night. Glad it worked out.

    Reasonable expectations from sellers

It seems this is the road OP is leading us down. Pics/ad and you will have yourself a jury quickly. Of course - make sure you exhaust all efforts to resolve with other side first.

    Reasonable expectations from sellers

Unless disclosed otherwise - yes, this is a fair statement. Normal is a tricky phrase...some makes normally break down regularly - so not running is normal

    Reasonable expectations from sellers

    - a working saw - full disclosure of any known and obvious defects or anything effecting future use/ability to mod or potential problems - a fair description of parts used in rebuild - if not rebuilt by seller - disclosure of name of person doing said work in event of any detailed questions...

Selling to the public - do you sign anything?

Short answer. No Longer answer...its very much state specific (and regionally in many states) - but no state has a specific LAW on saw sales. Selling a "performance enhanced" saw is no different from selling any other powerful tool or other item (i/e vehicle). Replace saw with tractor for...

Selling to the public - do you sign anything?

Welcome to sales...customer is always "right" - even when its clear they were not. You did the right thibg from a business perspective. I am not 100% the transaction was a complete fraud from the start...after all what would buyer have done if you said no to a refund? Posted a complaint (how...

Sold Trio of NIB Stihls - Shipping included in the prices.

Dan, Sorry to hear it came to this. Absolutely insane some asshat had to go crying to a manufacturer that you are bypassing the dealer MAP or selling online. I do not know Stihl (or any other maker) rules for sales...but I do know other products and their online practices. Dealers tend to...

    Want to Sell Stihl Ms261c-m

Ryan, Not at all directed towards you. Simply put - you posted what I think is fair...a note to check your post on MSRP to the OP. No pointing out his ask was "too high" - just an FYI to the OP and to potentially interested parties something in an ad was off. No different than if someone...

    Want to Sell Stihl Ms261c-m

Ok, let me start by saying that it is in the height of bad forum etiquette to post complaining about the price of an item for sale. Was the OP incorrect in the posted price. Likely, yes. We have covered this already - MSRP in the US is around $580-590. Depending on where you live - there may...
