Favorite object or technique for dropping big logs / trees on a nice lawn

Because if it’s safe and easily done id like to save time. Time is money. I’m not a cheap person but I try to be smart when it comes to timing jobs and making sure I don’t waste money where I don’t need to. If I can save the time and not damage the yard why not?

Favorite object or technique for dropping big logs / trees on a nice lawn

Obviously rigging solves this problem but sometimes you need to bomb some sections so I’ve been trying different objects / log placements to disperse the impact. Tires worked well but unless you have a bunch they’re not as convenient spreading logs out always works but still causes some...

Truck, come along, or winch when you need to resort to ropes and pulling?

Thanks guys I’m still shopping. Over the years I always used the f550 but that was the old company I ran now I’ve gone off on my own so I’m still grabbing a couple pieces of equipment and sadly the dump truck I had to settle for does not have much pulling power lmao so I wanted to try a new...

Truck, come along, or winch when you need to resort to ropes and pulling?

So as the title says. Truck, come along, or a winch (gas or electric) for pulling trees over (when the situation calls for it) and whichever you use what brand or model is your favorite? ( I know trucks vary) I’ve honestly used all three over the years but I’m looking to buy a new come along...

    whadja do today?

Nothing better then turning a 3 day job into a two day with a little luck and sweet talking the customer. 3 monster maples that were getting eaten alive (disturbing amount of carpenter ants) two other companies tried to gouge the sweet older couple for $6-8,000 assuring them only way possible...

    Low prices for tree service?

I agree and disagree with what you’re saying for a couple of reasons. Although prices should never vary to a certain measure I also think that in certain areas where property or landscape repairs would be higher due to house size/value (if something went wrong) then you should keep it in mind...

How reliable are these two trucks, please help

Thanks for the reply I know it’s tough for anyone to say hey those trucks will last x amount of time or such and such was seeing if anyone knows of any common issues they may have or if anyone has them personally and can tell me how they enjoy them as chip trucks.

    Low prices for tree service?

Although in my other reply I ranted about being low balled I do also believe some companies don’t give fair pricing and also don’t know how to accommodate the customer. If I ever come in higher then other fair offers I will work with them and also explain reasons why I believe my price is worth...

    Low prices for tree service?

I’m also from Fairfield County in CT and for one of the richest counties in the country the prices I get hit back with during quotes are absolutely sickening. Some of the companies that low ball quotes just to get the job are not only hurting other companies but themselves. I am the main climber...

How reliable are these two trucks, please help

Would love some help or information on these two trucks i’m most likely grabbing from a family friend for a steal. Unless they’re absolutely not worth the time and headaches. Any help would be greatly appreciated I’m not too great when it comes to my mechanic skills and just branched off from...
