    Echo Chainsaws...

    I think a lot of us are closet echo fans. I have a cs510 and a cs520.

$9 echo at goodwill. Why lol

Yeah what’s the scoop with that? I even see 590s often NIB here in Seattle in the $200 range and it seems sketchy. I wasn’t aware of Home Depot auctions - is there a site?

    Which blower do you have?

Anyone love the Husky 125b? Looking to buy (probably used) myself.

Gurus - can anyone provide service manual for echo cs510 and Cs520? I have both. I already have owners manual and IPL.

020avp need chain and bar please help

I have an 020avp and was in the same boat. I never did buy anything because the saw has other problems I haven’t sorted out yet (stalls when hot). I never found a new 16 inch bar but archer makes a 12 and 14 that should fit (.043) and I think the 10 inch still pole saw bars look like they’d fit...

    MUFFLER PAINT

A thrift-store toaster oven works wonders for small parts heating and curing.

Tell me about the dolmar 123

I don’t think there’s any difference between an automotive compression tester and a small engine one. Pressure is pressure and automotive and small engines have comparable compression pressure.

    The Beg for Manuals Thread

I could use FG110 owners/service manuals/IPL. Mine was stolen, recovered in a ditch a year later, and needs a little work because a country brush cutter drove over it. Still has compression and spark! :)

what's the weirdest thing you have used a chainsaw for ....

In 2003 I was a cop and we had a bad situation. We found out an armed guy with a murder warrant was holed up in a room in an upper story of a local hotel. We knew he had barricaded the door and there was no other good way in to the room. There was a 30 hr standoff and negotiations were going...

    Homelite Chainsaws

Answering my own question here for benefit of anyone else in the future with this problem. I found a fuel line pack at Home Depot - Arnold 490-240-0008 that contains two sizes of fuel line. The larger line is 3/16 O.D. and fits well. I think it is Tygon but not sure.

    Homelite Chainsaws

I've got a dual-trigger super-2 that I'm doing some maintenance on. Runs fine but oiling seems a little light. I was replacing the duckbills and I ripped the pressure line in the tankwhen doing so. I thought I had enough slack to pull it out, trim it down, and proceed, but the line is a bit...

I’d love to get an message saying check my inbox too (assuming 020av is same manual as my 020avp). :)

    "You Suck" Thread 2019--Pics required!

Not the greatest ever, but saw an ad for this for free and picked it up. Cool little saw and I just ran a couple tanks through it. Homelite super 2.

    Stihl 020AVP bar options?

Testing today went well. I took down a dead 8" alder. It went down wrong which had nothing to do with the bar. I cut face and back cuts, and when I went to push it to get it started, i pushed the hinge out (it was rotted, didn't know it!), so it went basically 180 degrees from my intended fall...

    Stihl 020AVP bar options?

Ok I gave that a spin, and it seems to have helped a lot. Tightening it too much was simply not going to be a problem. Even without a shim between the rails, it was a lot of work to get it to move at all. As in, put all my weight on the vise handle till the edges touch, and they'd still spring...

    Stihl 020AVP bar options?

I'm intrigued. I have a vise, an anvil too, and a 6x9 belt sander. So do I just use something like a ball peen hammer to try to close the gap? Do I use something like feeler gauges to keep from closing the gap too much?

Want to Buy Looking for 16 or 14 inch 1/4P Stihl bar

My 020avp bar is worn out. It is an early 1/4 pitch, .050. I’m hoping to find a not-too-worn replacement. I prefer 16 inch because that’s what my chains are but I would consider 14. I’ll consider any other options that will bolt up (e.g .043 bar).
