    Light weight bar?

Thank you all for the replies. I’ve got some research to do.

I noticed you mentioned Counsil Tool. I’ve considered going the direction of a Stihl brand or Gränsfors Bruks for a do all axe. I currently own a GB splitting axe and absolutely love that thing. However I’m not dead set on those brands. What brands, along with Counsil, would you recommend?

Sounds like my father speaking to me. 99% of the time he’s correct. I’ll take your advice and work on the other skills first.

    Light weight bar?

For the extended use days, I know I’m good with a standard full weight 30” for about an hour or so. Figured a light weight might assist in keeping fatigue at bay. It’s also 100% possible I’m looking at this from the wrong angle. Which is why I’m asking.

Good to hear, I figured the name tsumura would be coming up frequently.

    Light weight bar?

Hello all, so as most of you’ve seen, I recently purchased a 461. Came with a 30” and I purchased a 25”. Now I’m looking for a light weight 30/32” b&c for those extended use periods when the reach is needed. So far I’ve only had experience with Stihl. I’m not worried about cost as it’ll pay...

Honestly I think both of you are right. It’s just a matter of which saw would be handier for my situations. The 193 would give me a good excuse to get the 261. The 241 would bridge the gap of both and I probably would run a 241/461 combo.

I wish stihl would have an event that allowed people to test drive these things. For example, this past weekend the Grand America was in Sparta Illinois. I took my girlfriend with me so we could find the correct shotgun for her. By the end of the day we both found a new model that’d suit our...

    I have decided to keep the 028 as a small backup. I did get a 461 with a 30” and 25” b&c. Now I’m trying to figure out if I want a 193t/c, an ms 180, or go a little bigger with a 261.

How’s the ergonomics of the rear handle version? To me it looks like it’d be too small.

I’ve seriously considered the 241 instead of a 193. I know where one is sitting on a shelf. Last one in my area I believe.

Just picked up my 25” today. SO MUCH BETTER. I was able to move at a better pace and last longer. It’s amazing what a couple inches will do for you

A 25” b&c are on the way very soon for me. Along with a light weight limbing saw. My 30” gets nose heavy after a few hours. I’ve got a feeling my WB won’t be used much anymore.

Congratulations!!! You’ll love the 461. If you’re over 6’ tall you’ll love the longer bar. No need to bend over at all.
