    Well, I kept digging a little more and this time I actually found something. Looks like its the fourth instar of a species of whitefly: Aleuroplatus Gelatinosus. It's weird, even searching by scientific name you don't see much about it at all which is probably why it was so hard to find. But...

    Unidentified spots on oak leaves

    Does anyone recognize these spots I've found on my tree? They're mostly flat (slightly bumpy texture) and shiny, and I can scrape them off with a fingernail fairly easily. They all have the three white lines radiating outward. It's a water oak, maybe 10 years old. I've done a bunch of searching...
