    Swedish candles

Any one sell Swedish candles. If you do, do you put a firestarter/kindling in them for the customer? If so what?

    Firewood identification

Cut and split it. A fresh split if cherry or apple will smell like a cherry or apple.

    Is this worth fixing? MS250

That's $400 new out the door. if you look around you can get one for $300 new on sale. Not even sure what they go for used. But for 300 new not worth it.

Getting chains sharpened or buy new.

IME a chain will lqst about 2 tanks of fuel before it needs sharpened. At $12 for the cheapest chain I can find it'll add up quick. If you do pay to have them sharpened I would have at least 4 chains... 2 at the shop and 2 on hand. My local Ace sends them to an off site facility so it takes...

Turns out my Wife was right

Advice: don't publicize your wife being right. Its bad enough when you got to mumble it in private. She'll remind you of it in the afterlife now

    Safety in residential areas

Local law enforcement. Building/safety departments. They can be forced to compensate neighbors for damage to their trees. Not allowed to impede traffic without permits if they did have permits police would be around to direct traffic. Of course if subdivision roads are private rules are...

Scraping the bottom of the barrel

I'd rank ash as #3 in desirable firewood. Mulberry and apple being top 2. Oak would be up there but the seasoning time moves it down the list

    Craigslist laughs?

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/829189447505907/ Not craigslist, but still funny. That price is what split seasoned wood goes for around here

What is the simplest sharpener? Not necessarily the best but the one designed to be idoit proof. Because in my case they made a better idoit when it comes to sharpening. Could also be a grinder

What types of wood to use for firewood

Never have trouble finding buyers for maple. Even silver maple which is on the lower end of the btu per cord scale moves well. The others I'm not sure about except gum. From what I've read gum isn't worth the effort to process.

    Eating a Wolf

My part of Ohio there's bobcats and bears also. DNR denies bears living here but in 2019 2 of them were killed by cars on I-77 in Akron. Yet dnr still says they aren't here. I guess if they acknowledge that bears live here they have to write a policy on them.

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

27 days since that official start a winter here and 27 days above normal temperatures. Today the 1st day below normal coincidently also means below freezing I'm going to buck a downed tree. Got spoiled with weather this year.

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

4 yrs ago we hosted a student from Thailand. He had never seen snow. Of course we had the second mildest winter ever, this year being the 1st. With only 1 significant snowfall while he was here. Still managed to take him sledding. 6 years ago we hosted a girl from Germany. At one point...

    PPE in your opinion

My opinion on steel toed shoes...If that toe gets hit with enough force to crush it your toes would be toast without them. Now drop a 50lbs round on your standard workboot toe verses a safety toe. Most likely not going lose any toes but the guy with safety toes will be back to work sooner...

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

69*F Record high here yesterday. 36*F right now Wish it would freeze too muddy to do much outside. Not suppose to rain for 3 days maybe it will dry out a bit. Then I can clean up yesterday's wind. Nothing big lots of brush.
