    What E10 is good for!

How about this for a "real life example" . Mowing my lawn uses up 1.1 gallons of pump gas with ethanol, and a little over .8 gallons on mogas. And my car gets ~15% better mileage when I use ethanol free. I keep track.

What did I do to my CS-4910?

Two strokes run best when leaned out...But not for very long.

Sold Husqvarna 365 x-torq full wrap (with transfer cover upgrade) new price

A bump with a question if I may. If the saws run better without the air dividers in the transfer covers, why are they there in the first place?

    Chain hygiene

I was cutting evergreen for a friend and had the oil pump gear strip on my 357. I didn't catch it till i was ready for a fill up. The chain was covered in what looked like cooked sap and was a b to get off. Switched saws and when I got home I got the great (?) idea of throwing the chain in my...

    Long bar for a 435

He'll just be making a notch in the logs with the tip for me to then come by and buck. Still think a full skip is necessary?

    Long bar for a 435

LOL . It's not for cutting. Once a year I help a friend with firewood for his cabin in the rockies. He's in his mid 70's and can't run a saw like he used to but feels compelled to help. I want to put one of those 16" measuring sticks on the end of a 24" bar so he can mark the logs for me to cut...

    Long bar for a 435

Does anyone make a 24" bar for the Husky 435? I think it's the small mount and .325.

    First carb rebuild.

I'm rebuilding a Tilloston on a friends 028 and I've got a question about the Inlet Control Lever. Is the position in the pics too high? Should it be flush with the body? And if so how do you adjust it? Thanks Joe

    Octane question

To get back on topic. Mogas is great to run in CHAINSAWS. ( 91 octane E0 Mogas has 3%-5% more BTUs/gallon than 100LL)
  15. J

    Octane question

    Not so small a percentage.
  16. J

    Octane question

Colorado . MOGAS is not a replacement for 100LL in aircraft. It's an alternative for certain engines that are certified to be able to run on MOGAS
  17. J

    Octane question

And MOGAS can sit in an aircraft fuel tank for a year.
  18. J

    Octane question

Don't use 100ll. It does have more lead in it than pump gas. Find yourself an airport that sells MOGAS. 91 octane and no lead and none of the additives of pump (even e-free) gas. My lawn takes 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 tanks to mow on pump gas with ethanol. Using MOGAS I can do it using less than 1.

    Friends sick 028WB

A friend dropped off his 028 for me to look at. It would idle but stall when giving it throttle. He changed the carb (Chinese) and it does the same thing. It'll rev out if I squirt some mix into the carb, so I think it's not an ign issue. He also replaced the impulse line. It's the first Sthil...
