A good chainsaw for a broke down old man?

Your buddies 261 evidently needed rejetting also. My MS261CM is a much better saw than the 260 I got rid of.

A good chainsaw for a broke down old man?

You are correct about both of these saws. That's why I bought them. I sold a MS260 to buy the MS261 CM. I am not a MS260 fan.

A good chainsaw for a broke down old man?

    MS261 CM and a MS 150C

A good chainsaw for a broke down old man?

There are some very nice Stihl's out there that will meet your needs if you are willing to spend around $600.00 each to use them 2-3 times a year.

    Social Distancing

We were doing social distancing at work this week until a rocket scientist tripped the tornado alarm. Tornado shelters aren't set up for social distancing yet.

    New Chainsaw Advice needed

If you have the time to work on a saw that won't start/and or idle and willing to haul it back and forth to a repair shop by all means save some money on refurbished or used.

Pics when it was new. With a clamp on pallet forks on the bucket it works out well for me.

    New Chainsaw Advice needed

I bought a MS 261 CM last year. With the electronic carb it's a nice starting and nice running saw. Magnesium cases. A little pricey but worth it to me. Read some reviews on a MS 261CM and see what you think.

What’s your favorite mid sized saw?

    MS 261C-M

    Tuning mixture by plug color

I would think it more accurate than sound. Reading plugs works for cars and motorcycles. Both 2 stroke and 4. With fresh plugs.

What’s your favorite smaller cc saw.?

I don't consider this to be my best but would consider it my favorite simply because it gets used the most. It kind of gets thrown on the ATV or tractor automatically when I go out to check fence lines or doing anything else in the pastures or woods. It's not a powerhouse but is certainly is...

    Government designed gas can spouts

EZ-POUR adapters for my Blitz and Chilton 5/6 gallon containers came yesterday. Money well spent.

Quality differences between chainsaws bought inside and outside USA

Stihl sales are few and far between but I bought my last Stihl on sale.

    Government designed gas can spouts

These are for my mowers, tractor, atv's, chainsaws, and weed eaters. Lifting a 6 gallon can from the ground chest high for the tractor is the worst. Hard on the plastic nozzle.

    Government designed gas can spouts

Before posting here I was looking at older pre-ban used cans and spouts on Ebay. Hopefully all had a pirate's patch over on eye when they created these listings.

    Government designed gas can spouts

My old fuel cans, both diesel and gas, have been babied for years for fear of only having the replacement option to be the newer politically correct fuel cans and the spout that comes with them. This is the spout that has the hook on the spout that is pushed while fueling that causes fuel to be...

Suggestions for a light weight saw for trimming and limbing?

I use one of these. It is possible to stand on a tractor deck and trim high limbs with just the right hand on the pistol grip. This is unsafe and this saw should never used for this method of cutting.

Carrying a chansaw on a tractor

Just wondering if anyone has a carrier for their chainsaw mounted on their tractor. Been looking at a carrier from Sawhaul. Maybe worth every penny but seems expensive for what it does.

    Drop Starting a Chainsaw

As with you it's when I accidentally hit another log or limb with the tip of the bar. The two saws I have now were purchased new within the last couple of years (Stihl) and am sure they have the latest and greatest of safety chains. When I get kick back it is something that the saw does that I...
