Bobcat logging, A serious cutter and splitter

works good but looks like straight logs are the only ones you could use in it. Where I used to work they had a firewood processor made by multitek. It was pretty nice but if you got some crooked stuff in there you would have to always reorganize it to split it, just like he had to shake the...

    Holy Husqvarna!

I also have a 372 but in the older version. I love it and will cut anything pretty quick. The only downfall is it likes to drink a lot. I think the newer ones are a lot better on fuel.

Indoor wood furnace vs. Outdoor Boiler - The differences?

Tarm, Greenwood, AHS Woodgun to name a few. I have a AHS woodgun and love it. It does take some maintenance every couple days to a week but the wood saved in efficiency is worth it to me. Plus i don't have to clean the chimney out because no creosote is produced. Although i do check it about 1 a...

    Non-used HEATMOR froze up?

where is the pump at, in the house or at the wood burner? You could start by building a very very small fire in the wood burner to try to start the thawing process. you can't build a very big fire due to you can't circulate any water yet.

    Venting hydraulic tank

I would put some kind of a vent on it. As others said with the cycling of the cylinder and as the fluid heats up it will expand and will build pressure if not vented.

    Insulated chimney through block wall?

I went through the same thing with mine, except my basement wall is made of rocks(older house). We just took a piece of terracotta pipe that was a little bigger then the outside of the tee and put the it in the wall. Laid the rocks back around it and put motar on it and let it set up. Then the...

hooking up sidearm to water heater

you can go in where the relief valve is, just put a tee so the relief valve is on one leg the side arm goes to another and the other leg goes to the hot water heater. you want to keep the relief valve for safety purposes.

    gasification

Mine is the SS version. They do have both carbon and stainless steel models. They explained to me that any piece of stainless in the boiler that smoke would touch or have heat exposed to it, it is bordered by water on the other side. They say this keeps the metal stress to a minimum and less...

    Post pictures of your OWB!

It's not an outdoor wood burner, but it is a nice indoor wood burner. It's made by Alternate Heating Systems. I can put pretty good sized stuff in it. Nice that you don't have to split it small to fit it through the door. Also heats my domestic hot water and has a oil back up buit into it with...

Here is the unit I have. Just got it and put it in 3 weeks ago. It's the E100 woodgun from Alt. Heating Systems. So far I love it. We'll see how it compares to the old wood boiler this winter.
