Sad news Thanks to my brother and his buddy, I lost the saw I had for almost 36 years, they have been living with us, not really helping much so we put them to work taking out hedges and a tree, well brother leaves my little saw and grabs my little bigger one and proceeds to drop the trunk...

so finally added gas to the gas that was already in the tanks of the two chainsaws i got free and they both fired up no problem, the wild thing is fine, but I noticed the oiler did not seem to work on the 14" Craftsman, but the bar is upside down and someone said that may block the oil hole, so...

so turns out that the mark on the cover was just where the indent was formed during manufacture, when I loosend off the rope pulley it came free, so put it back on and the cord pulled and saw fired up for a quick second or two so now if I pull it a few times the rope can hang up, so just have to...

Well turned out the saw is silver and it says limited edition on it. Not bad shape fired up pretty quick. Need to tighten up the recoil rope, and its chain looks pretty ratty and it has the power Sharp.

Same in the auto industry, 10 years is usually their benchmark, unless it is a part used in newer years, but one never knows.

the oil came from the ground where it has sat for millions of years, so I think the refined product should be good for a while.

Well I did not ask him, but I gather the 50th anniversary was in 2003, so it is not as old as my other ones. Just he is in Kelowna, so would have to arrange somehow to get it down here, he suggested if I knew someone up there they could grab it for me, but still leaves me with getting it here...
