    Finally pics of my saw

Update, got a couple parts now. Well got my tank and a handle from E-bay, the tank assy is correct and green, so will put it together soon, the handle I got appears to be what I call a Usa style as mine had the safety you had to squeeze before the throttle would unlock, where the one I got just...

Sad news Thanks to my brother and his buddy, I lost the saw I had for almost 36 years, they have been living with us, not really helping much so we put them to work taking out hedges and a tree, well brother leaves my little saw and grabs my little bigger one and proceeds to drop the trunk...

so turns out that the mark on the cover was just where the indent was formed during manufacture, when I loosend off the rope pulley it came free, so put it back on and the cord pulled and saw fired up for a quick second or two so now if I pull it a few times the rope can hang up, so just have to...

    Nik's Poulan Thread

Well got two more saws free So sad to say really good neighbour behind us is moving away, he is a concrete guy, does all the fancy stamped concrete and such, so anyway he is cleaning out his garage and he ends up giving me a shop vac, then he mentions he has two saws one a wildthing 18" and a...

Okay this is not going well.

Well turned out the saw is silver and it says limited edition on it. Not bad shape fired up pretty quick. Need to tighten up the recoil rope, and its chain looks pretty ratty and it has the power Sharp.

Quality chainsaw with guaranteed parts availability

Same in the auto industry, 10 years is usually their benchmark, unless it is a part used in newer years, but one never knows.

is there a shelf life on cycle oil?

the oil came from the ground where it has sat for millions of years, so I think the refined product should be good for a while.

Okay this is not going well.

Well I did not ask him, but I gather the 50th anniversary was in 2003, so it is not as old as my other ones. Just he is in Kelowna, so would have to arrange somehow to get it down here, he suggested if I knew someone up there they could grab it for me, but still leaves me with getting it here...

Okay this is not going well.

Started out with one little chainsaw, now I have four gas ones, one of which I just aquired in the last couple weeks, and one electric one, and now I find out from a post on a hunting site I frequent that this fellow has a Sears 50th Anniversary one that if I understood correctly is also a 16"...

So, just picked up a third chainsaw, it is a model 358.41526 - 2.3 / 16" Guy wanted 60.00CDN paid him 45.00 now I am curious who made this saw, it is a white color, I only knew of red like my old 70's craftsman/poulan anyway, put gas in fires right up, seems to run good, but as it is night here...
