    firewood tractors

I was doing some thinking out loud on one of those tracked tractors. Was it Landini or Long that made them.

    Chain deals

Any 10 pack or so chain deals out there ? I normally buy all my chain from Boonville woodsman days and am running low. Looking for some 68 driver .050 or .058 chain deals.

    Husky 350 vs 450

I see you have a 346 top end on your 350. How is it working.

    Husky 350 vs 450

So the 350 and 450 are not even in the same class ? I may look for a 2nd 350 and buy 346 piston/cylinders and then shelf one of them for the future. I may look into a decent brush head for a higher end weed whacker so to speak. and a cheapo saw is out of the question. I would rather buy a small...

    Husky 350 vs 450

Whew lots of responses. I run the 350 , a nicely modded 372 and a 394. I more than likely will buy 346 parts b4 they dry up to keep that 350 running. I love that little saw. But mostly I was looking for a saw suggestion for cutting and over grown xmas tree patch that was cut out and now a bunch...

    Husky 350 vs 450

I have a Husky 350 bone stock with 16" bar that is a screamer. Was looking at the 450 as a 2nd small saw. Is the 450 just next generation to the 350 ? Will it cut as fast ?

    Which dump trailer to buy?

I do not ever plan on overloading mine with gravel pit material since the loader has a scale built into the bucket and I am weighed. And wood on the other hand will be mostly thrown in so max should not be reached. Just wanted the bigger axles just in case a short haul wood load. Also I want...

    Another Mix Ratio question

I 've always done 2.5 gal mix oil to 2 gal of gas. Whether engineers say so or not I prefer 40:1 for the last 20 yrs. Only problem I have had is ethanol issues now switched to leaded race gas for 2 stroke engines and no more problems. Bought 1 VP 5 gal of gas and use that as my premix can now...

I have just looked at the Walbro site and seen prices. Have not popped out welch plugs.

    OEM Walbro carbs

I have a couple of saws that even after soaking in carb cleaner do not work. Swapped out with a known good carb and saw runs fine so I know there is an issue more than likely with old ethanol. I try to google up Walbro carbs and mostly seems to come up with Chinese knockoffs. Where can I buy...

    chain grinder mtg

I picked up an Oregon sharpener that I could not pass up on @ Boonville a couple of yrs ago. Would like this grinder to for the teeth and my older Tecomec setup just for doing rakers. Anybody care to share pictures of their grinder setups ? Was thinking of a small parts washer also for cleaning...

22 HP predator engine pump mt

Where are the tonnage specs coming from ?

I would be more impressed if you said a 23" elm or oak crotch. It does not matter what dia the wood is if it is straight. I have done 43 " pine rounds. Does that indicate that I have a super splitter----no.

    working glove for wet snow

I have been using Kinco brand winter/water proof style. Not water proof by any means but do hold up for awhile. I will rub some snoseal into mine to help. But being pigskin, they hold up well for firewood and still dry supple when wet. Cowhide is a no-no for gloves that will get wet. Dry hard...

Where are the tonnage specs coming from ?

I wonder if you had a guage on say a TSC splitter and then show the math. Would they have to allow you to return it because of false advertising ? I would think the cheaper valves are non-adjustable and could be factory set.
