    Echo special tools

Hello, can someone tell me the carb settings on a Echo CS370? I accidentally ran a couple of tanks of unmixed gas in it, & now the carb is messed up..... Lol! This is my once-every-couple-of-years login. An Echo CS-670 with scored top end followed me home from the shop yesterday. It...

Want to Sell Chainsaw hoard in west Atlanta

Looking for collector in the Atlanta area preferably west of Atlanta to help me alleviate my hoarding problem. Not letting go of many over 80cc, or any bow bars. Prices will be near scrap metal price on vintage stuff (mini macs, SXL, & little Poulans free). YOU MUST TAKE THE BAD WITH THE GOOD...

    Want to Buy 660 cases

Anyone have a good set of ms660 cases cheap? Building up a saw, and found a crack.

    357 or 359 top end?

So as a follow-on to my other 357 thread, I guess I'm keeping the 357. Supposing the top end is un-salvageable, should I use a 357 jug, or 359? If 359, are any of the aftermarket ones preferable? I will be leaving the crank suffers in, as there is no need to separate case halves here.

My favorite type of thread: What's a scored 357 worth?

Decent condition, homeowner use. Plastic clamp killed it, no idea if carb has issues.

    Husqvarna special tools

Can someone steer me toward or forward me a current Husky special tools catalog? We keep getting strato Husky saws in, and I'm ready to throw down the coin for intake adapter flanges for a couple of models. I cannot find a catalog anywhere newer than 2008. In specific, I'd like a 455/460...

    Snapper Robin Commercial

I realize that most of you guys don't care much about mowers. I have been looking for this mower for over three years. I'm a 2 stroke nut, and this IMO is perfection. Last October, the Craigslist gods smiled on me, and I finally found one that wasn't shredded and fairly priced. Mrs...

    Carb tool info exchange

I want to use this thread to swap part numbers for the different carb tools. I had to do an Echo blower the other day, and it had teeny screws. Luckily one of the other guys had the Echo tool. Anyone have the part # for that? Same on PB 260 and 250.

    288 pics updated

Some of you may remember this saw. I got it as a very low hour bow saw a little while back. The bow is going to be reassigned to a Shindaiwa 757 project. It balances just slightly nose heavy with the 36" RW bar. Hopefully I can find some wood big enough to give it a workout soon. Just...

    Dropping chains

Does anyone else have a rule about trying to grab a chain if gravity gets ahold of it? I always say let it fall and pick it up after. Violated my own rule yesterday on a freshly sharpened chain, and now have a big cut on the fingerprint of my ring finger. Stupid Oregon Vanguard chain too, not...

    What's a fair price on a minty 390xp?

As the title says. Very low hour. I put over $600 of OEM parts on this saw when they ran it over about a year ago. At that time the saw was not even broken in. Aside from some saw pulp, it is in mint condition. I suspect less than 5 hours on it. 24" bar on it has been used a good bit. The...

    Stolen saw alert! MS 650

So someone (you know who you are) got a "you suck" deal today, and it was not me. We traded a running MS 650 and 6401 in on a new 441C. I hadn't even taken them back to look 'em over when in swoops customer "H". Said customer asks about the 650 and the boss says that he just traded it in, and...

    Wadja get for Christmas thread

So I'm sitting here after feeding the baby (woke @ 5:30) and watching her shred a box. The other ones are not up yet. Santa has been through, and as usual we are very blessed. I'm anxious to see what you all got for Christmas. Mostly interested in saws, guns, and tools but if you want to...

Had a long time customer come in several weeks ago looking for .325 skip chain for his 550xp. I explained to him that no such thing exists. He is CONVINCED that skip tooth anything is better. Yesterday he comes in and tells me to order everything to convert his 550 to 3/8. I told him it...

    New technology is good

So I just returned from Stihl gold school yesterday. Part of that training is failure analysis. They actually give us new (or test) units and tell us how they want us to blow them up. Then we dissect them and study the innards to see the result. I killed a blower in less than 10 minutes with...

    Echo carbs

OK, I am at my wits end with Echo. We are a Stihl dealer, and can get most common Stihl carburetors for around $30. Stihl owns Zama, so one would think that other VERY popular Zama carbs might be able to be found at a reasonable cost. Not the case. What are you other guys doing to get those...

    MS362 base gasket

Working through one of my personal saws for a change. Low hour saw scored on the exhaust side. Cylinder didn't clean up 100% perfect, but it should make a strong runner anyway. New OEM piston and everything else. I have not done any modding on any stratified scavenging engines yet. Is it...

    Homie fuel cap/primer

Anyone know where I can get one (or a couple) of the little Homelite fuel caps with the primer built in? I have a customer saw, and he is getting very irritated with me for taking so long. I have been looking for a while for this cap, and no can find. Thought about drilling the old one and...

    Runs fine

Just need the kill switch repaired, and it is leaking oil. MS660 less than a year old. Don't know why someone would do that to a 1k saw, but whatever. They broke the filter mount stud and tried to JB it back together. Then they drywall screwed the filter cover into the airbox backplate. I...
