    Stihl 026 and accys

Hey that's great! I guess it's better to have poor photos and have you pleasantly suprised than the other way around.... :). It will be a great saw for your application!

    Stihl 026 and accys

I liked the 026 with the .325 chain, but I have only ran 16" bars on it. We used to cut a lot of standing dead elm though, very hard wood. The thinner chain gave me a little more grunt to work with. MM, just so you know, I did tend to run it a little rich. I always figured cheaper to replace the...

drying wood in your clothes dryer

Silly Californys, everyone knows a klim is a wood-fired combination wood-seasoning, clothes dryin', saw sharpening do hicky! Heard say it cured cancer, too! But the gov't got involved and stopped production after 1 year.......man this thread is going downhill fast!

whats your favorite way to get wood out of the woods??? post pics

My preference would be with Treepointer's JD 4600...sweet machine! Lately it has been with my Jeep Cherokee. This thing will go just about anywhere, has a tight turning radius for the woods, and surprisingly holds close to a face cord with the seats down and the logs cut to 5' or so....

drying wood in your clothes dryer

+1 on the bleach....not that frilly smelling stuff either. Just plain ole' clorox.........Those expensive front loaders work the best. Ya know, the ones with the glass window...

    Outdoor forced air furnaces

Does anyone have any of these? If so, what are your thoughts? I like the idea of not having the fuss of plumbing water lines and heat exchangers, and the cheaper price. Not to mention if I could find one with the newer gasification system, you could have the best of both worlds....long burn...

    newer owb's ?

That's some funny stuff right there. Don't care who ya are.... I hope they took out the gas tank....

    newer owb's ?

Sorry about that. I did a search and didn't see anything on them..... $2500 isn't a bad deal. Looks basically like a hotblast unit in a shell. I figure even if they were only to last 10-15 years each, I'm still ahead if I bought two or three over time vs. the 10k+ for a boiler. Much easier...

    newer owb's ?

Does anyone have the USSC 1600 EF or Fire Chief FCOS 2200D OWB's? Looks like a nice option of not having to deal with water lines or additional heat exchangers in the home. Just pipe it right into the duct work. Comes with a nice price, and supposedly half the wood use of a boiler.

    I saw it on Ebay/Craigslist

041 on C/L Here's a running Stihl 041 for $75 obo. if anyone is interested. It was posted about an hour ago.... [email protected] My 026 does what I need. Just thought I'd pass it on.

Pictures of the Stihl MS362.... but for real this time.

I am happy to see that they (any saw mfg) are able to design a saw that meets the clean air stds. and doesn't weigh 20#s in doing so.......I have yet to cough up the dough for a 361, and kind of glad that I waited. That is providing Stihl isn't wanting $700 for the new model. I'm surprised that...

Stihl 260 Pro with 3/8 chain

Go with the Troll on this one. I've ran both 3/8 and .325 chisel on my 026 w/ 16" bar and the muffler mod. You will definitely see the difference, especially when buried into a seasoned elm......

    Which used diesel truck?

I'm with 046...... a mid 90's Dodge 3/4ton ext. cab w/ cummins and a five speed. One buddy has a mid 97 Dodge 3500 four door 4x4 and loves it. He was getting around 18mpg before dumping a ton of money into it for Hp stuff..... Now it gets 11 mpg but is crazy powerful and fast. Another buddy has...

    Wood Hauler II

Well thanks, seems to be a rugged model too. I'll be looking for the Cummins version in a couple of years. Maybe you'll be ready to sell your's by then! :D

    Wood Hauler II

LoL....looks like you have an extra set of wheels in the back....and a little more torque under the hood. Diesel? Well I couldn't complain for the money, and it will do all that I need. :)
