A worn sprocket will cause all types of problems. It will cause binding and cutting issues. Dressing and flipping the bar is a good suggestion also. It's all a process of elimination.

Very easy saw to fix. Go beg for the Manual and IPL and then thumb through them. You will be amazed how simple a saw they are. If you do need seals, site sponsor Northwood Saw has them at a great price. I've used them and they work fine. Good luck.

Yes, the covers with the chain brake are interchangeable between the 009.010.011 and 012. Biggest difference is if you want a metal or composite(plastic) cover.

The 009L uses a 38mm piston and cylinder, the 009 uses a 36mm P&C. There might have been a carburetor difference on early model 009's but the carb. off the 009l works fine on it. The early model 009's also used a smaller reed valve,but can be replaced with the 009l reed. I believe there were...

I don't think that can happen. The pump is mechanical and driven off the worm gear. You have another issue. Possible crack in the case could mix fuel and bar oil. :confused:

If the crack is not to big you can use JB weld. Clean it really well and it usually works.

I've never had much luck hand filing a rocked chain. Usually it has to go on a machine to get all the teeth even. Really pisses you off when you rock a fairly new chain. :bang:

It will work. The biggest difference I could see in the kits is the pump diaphragms you would use. The K10 has a blue plastic pump, but the K20 has the brown woven and black rubber pumps. I've used both kits with no problem. K-10 kit fits the older 026 carburetors (WT-22C).

You stated your compression was 125psi. That is way to low for me. That saw should be 150+ psi.
