I don't know if it was the best, but the Poulan 3000 (49cc) we got in '86 was still cutting strong earlier this year. It was light enough, fast acceleration and high revving, well balanced and suited a 16" just right, and like I said very reliable, it was our go to saw for limbing and a little...

Right you are, again. This 1-71 seems to be in pretty good shape as well, we haven't try to run any of this lot yet. The old guy who owned them said most were put away (scattered all around his shop) running.

Bingo, 7-55, Super 44, Power Mac 6 and the 1-71 was a no-brainer. We also got a couple extra bars for the 7-55, longer and with handles.
