I aquired an old fire called a pither forester a few years ago, i thought i would do some investigative work on it , the only thing i can find is glass for the door, anyone own one or have a picture of one , i will get a piccy when the weather improves

and i'm very surpised not more of you commented on the sharpness of the cut ...it was the last cut of the day and yes that chain really did need a good shapen

right then guys i think we can put this to bed now , iv'e just been down to the wood pile for a look/ sniff the bark is thin darkgreyish bown with a few light green marks it does smell sweetish and the centre is quite orange , i think it is APPLE

i.d no sorry this was mixed in with a large pile of assorted wood ,but no leaves on it

I went out for a trailer load of wood this morn and came accross this, the piece pictured next to my saw weighs 66 pound, and brother it was hard to split any ideas of what it is ???

No wood There is always wood out there , Think latteraly ,I have a big old tree in my garden , i chop it down ,where do i take the wood ? OR If there is a tree that has fallen on the road useually the local council remove it, what happens to that wood ?ask at the local council yard . OR...
