TBH there is no such thing as a 10.8# bucking saw.

    Husqvarna 50ish cc saw suggestions

Believe it or not a 455 rancher will out cut a stock 346XP and is better on fuel.. Can't speak to the 550

    Husqvarna 50ish cc saw suggestions

Certainly my vote goes to a ported 346XP NE but I am partial. I have run the snot out of this saw and it's a pocket rocket with a 16" bar and 3/8.

Can't slide cylinder off piston of STIHL MS 362

Hommie home hot rodder strikes again. Beat the bearings right out of it when it got warm. She ran like a raped ape with .010 squish.

It's not only red, it's a great 20" bucking saw.

    Bucking Saw Suggestions?

Or maybe not considering the powerhead only weights 14.5# and is an overweight, underpowered saw that you can swing a 20" bar on to cut at a moderate pace. Again I am not impressed with the power or the weight. It has enough torque for a 20" bar but peak HP is lackluster and will tire you, me...

    Bucking Saw Suggestions?

There was a time around this place when the answer to every saw equation was a MS361. Now it seems they are considered close to useless in favor or smaller and larger saws. My how times change. My point I have been trying to make is it takes less strength and stamina in the long run bucking...

    Bucking Saw Suggestions?

I find them to be overweight, under powered, mediocre saws at best.

    Bucking Saw Suggestions?

A stock 60cc. saw does not rip through a 20" log. It's a laborious task for a stock 50cc. saw.

Found a 20" 72 DL Guide Bar For The Echo CS-590

It's the Tanaka mount. Same as my Red Man G621. https://www.sawsuppliers.com/products/bar-adapter-d025-3003-to-d176-allows-echo-saw-to-run-stihl-bar-chain

    Bucking Saw Suggestions?

Even my ported 346XP NE is an inferior choice for bucking big wood compared to my 60cc saws. When bucking the weight of a 60cc saw becomes insignificant compared to a 50cc saw so the time factor alone is the trump card.

    makita woes... another 6401 issue.

If the saw is racing at idle you need to turn the L screw out, not in.

    makita woes... another 6401 issue.

The way I start my 6400/7900 is full choke until it pops. Then open the choke by pushing the lever all the way in. Pull until it starts on high idle. Once it's running blip the throttle to release the high idle. First time I even heard anybody call a 14 1/2# saw light.
