    Anybody's Wife Use a Saw?

I tried it once with the ex and it pretty much scared the poop out of her! I was then able to play with saws by myself. Of course i handed her the 385!

    Some new CAD accessories.

Sweet looking setup there! Just a word to the wise...anyone I have known in construction has said that paslode guns tend to be unreliable. I'm not sure about their finish guns but the problems i have heard of all relate to their framing guns.(usually costly too) If you already have an air...

    Problem tuning 385xp

It bogs a bit when on its side but only dies when upside down. I know I'll never be cutting that way but want to root out any problems before they get worse!

    Problem tuning 385xp

It definitely sounds as though it is dying due to a rich mixture. Could a crank seal cause it to be rich? I thought any air leak would cause a lean issue. Also could a problem with the crank seal show up only when inverted?

    Problem tuning 385xp

I muffler modded my new to me 385 and tuned it as usual. On the high end im hitting a wall at the rev limit coil so i'll be replacing it with a non rev limit one from Bailey's. The problem is with the idle. When I roll it around and invert it it goes rich and dies. Maybe I need to clean and/or...

    bar maintanence

Welcome! I just clean the groove periodically and flip the bar at the end of the day. I havent had to grind a bar YET but maybe someone with a little more experience can say what would cause a need to. As far as new chain; I just go to the witness marks on the top plate.

    How old is old gas?

6 weeks is the max for me as well. I just dropped my squish the other day so I will probably be a bit more conscious of it for a while:cheers:

    How old is old gas?

For those that have dropped squish...how long do you keep gas? I am assuming that you would want to retain as much octane as possible in a situation like that.(Or would premium oil do a good enough job for a few weeks or so?)

How do you clean your chainsaw air filter?

I have never gone beyond a compressor blow. Do you guys feel that the amount you get out with dish soap would really affect air flow? I mean real airflow not trying to gain .05% more flow;)
