    I am not very familure with the clayton but I had a johnson that is simular to the hotblast 1557 and it was my understanding the you were not suposed to open the air inlet on the ash door unless you were burning coal....

    trere is no difference in the frame of a 3/4 ton and 1 ton ram van in that year, I had one for years and used it to pull my 24' enclosed race trailer weighing in a 8 thousand pounds. As far as brakes go if you are pulling a trailer over 5 thoudsand pounds without trailer brakes you are asking...

    I heated my 2 story farm house with it fine as long as the wind was not blowing too hard, I have a new hotblast epa 1500 now that is great.

    I have had that same furnace for 2 seasons now and it is great. I had a older furnace before and this now one uses about a third less wood. Enjoy your new furnace.

    The bar and chain can be brand new I just can not seem to get it right, been doing it for years. I can not cut straight with anything also can not draw a straight line and no I do not drink.

    I realize you are loosing some tillable ground but doesent the windbreak and erosion qualities of the trees make up for that with higher yields throughought the rest of the field?

    That is the same thing i noticed the electric bill went up a bit because the fan runs almost non-stop.

    I have made it through the winter using no propane I used to use about 4 500 gallon tanks a year. Last year I used about 2 tanks (I got the new hotblast last year)

    I put a 500 dollar "buy it now on ebay" but I would sell it for 450 to an AS member plus shipping. But the auction starts at 300 and there is no reserve so you could take your chances.....

    My brother and I usually go cutting together and he likes to use the 6401 for everything so I rarely get to use it. I want the 7900 just for felling, I used to keep a 32" bar on my 6800 but when I got the 143 I put a 24" bar on the 6800 and fell back in love with that saw. I would put a 36" bar...
