Want to Buy Echo 300evl gas tank

Hello, the threads on my echo 300evl gas tank have stripped and since it is plastic it had actually warped as well. Long story short, the gas pours right out. Does anyone know of any out there? Thanks!

Just Had 2 Large Water Oaks Dropped In My Backyard

My two cents Just to add my two cents, if oak is not split and stacked it is not seasoning. Even in rounds. I have had some from the same tree (red oak) that was split and some rounds left. When I split the rounds a year later they were as wet as the day we took them down.

    A gift from Sandy

I do plan on cutting the stumps down to ground level after I get everything cut up and moved. I will try some of the root ball itself in the stove. I plan on using as much of these two trees as possible. I was thinking of cutting some up and making something out of it but I don't know what to...

    A gift from Sandy

It took 6 months to get here... ...but we finally took down the leaning trees. Over two weekends. I worked with Jim Strickland of Tip Top Tree Service last weekend to get the snaggle of branches out of the other trees and this weekend finally took off the root balls and the trunks are finally...

    Found in Firewood

I am surprised how many people said they find bullets. Are there that many people out there shooting trees?

Animal eating my fuel cans!! WTH!!

Back in the 80's a man lived across the street from my grandparents. At the time he was in his 90's and he had a battle going with the squirrels and his bird feeder. His solution was to electrify the metal around the feeder where the birds and squirrel had to stand to get to the seed. He used a...

    Found in Firewood

Last year I was splitting some firewood and something caught my eye. It was a bullet embedded in the tree. It was not a rifle round but it looked like a .38 or so. The tree was from the northern NJ suburbs. That brings me to my question... What is the most interesting thing you have found...

    A gift from Sandy

I did get to take the Makita and the Echo for a spin today in a friends Blue Spruce that blew down last week. Now I see why they use pine in the chainsaw races. Over all the base of the tree was about 15 inches in diameter. It was so easy to cut, the Makita barely slowed down. The chips were...

Animal eating my fuel cans!! WTH!!

I had a similar thing happen. A squirrel or a chipmunk has chewed through the side of my 2 gallon gas can when it was empty. Did not notice it till I was at the gas station filling it up. They have also chewed through the gas cap on my lawn mower. Stupid squirrel. ...and they have chewed a hole...

    A gift from Sandy

I took a few more pictures of the trees and the snag, it is a hard thing to photograph. Also, I think I was wrong, the top tree is probably an Ash. The canopy crashed down through the oak tree and brought down a bunch of branches. The Oak is the only ony with any foliage left and I thought it...

    A gift from Sandy

Thanks for all the great advice. It is hard to see the terrain in the photos but there is no access for a vehicle to get to the trees. Also the slope under the trees is a steep downhill. The two trees that they are wedged in form an X that they are resting in that gets tighter as they fall...

    A gift from Sandy

I studied the trees for about an hour today and could not figure out a safe way to get them down. The way they are stacked and then wedged in between a large oak and another maple there is no way to cut them without being in the path of something that is going to hurt. The guy I buy firewood...

    A gift from Sandy

Look what Sandy gave us. Not one but two nice trees blown over domino style. The top tree is an oak and about 40ft from the base up to the fork before the top. I think the lower tree is a maple but there is no foliage left on it. Both trees are 2.5-3ft across the trunks. Now I just have to get a...

    Makita 6401 no spark

Thanks for the quick replies, I finally got out to check the saw last night and was going to start with the kill switch. I figured, "aww what the heck, I'll give it one more try" and I gave it a pull and it turned over. Another pull and it was idling, rough, but idling. Then it stalled. Another...

    Makita 6401 no spark

Hello everyone, I have a Makita 6401, ex Home Depot saw, that I have owned for 2 years. Every time I needed it, it would start right up. I have always kept stabilizer in the fuel and never had a problem. ...until I finally get the call I have been waiting for. A 60 foot oak tree (24" dbh) is...

Oh so thankful for wood heat

Love the stove Went to my sisters house this evening and sat there freezing. Could not wait to get home to my poorly insulated 75 degree house and rekindle the fire in the wood stove. Now I am sitting here in my shorts and a t-shirt feeling a bit to warm. Love the wood stove!
