    American Stove Broken Shaker Grate

No coal. Just hardwoods. I welded mine back together. Thanks for the tip. I may just start stiring instead of shaking.

    American Stove Broken Shaker Grate

Broken already! This is the first year with this Furnace. Oh yea, it was new by the way. I already replaced the junk fans with a real blower. One lasted a month, the other lasted two. Next time I will buy a Brunco or any other brand that isn't crap.

    5 heaping truckloads so far.

Wow abo thats the way to go! Somebody has to put the wood in the bucket though. That is the one problem. Handling. We are all looking for the perfect way with no minimal handling. I like to see how everyone else does it.

    5 heaping truckloads so far.

It is done!!! I got 12 heaping truckloads thrown in. That should be about 6 cords according to woodheat.org. The honeytree was gone from the logger. My buddie came down to collect the bees. He was able to get the queen and a couple thousand workers. He was gratefull so maybe I'll hit him...

    Anyone else stocking up?

Matt the forty and over crowd are old enough to have seen cycles in the climate. They remember the impending doom of the coming ice age back in the 70's. In the last year we have lost the .6 of a degree that we had gained over the past 60. As a matter of fact we have been in a cooling trend...

Heating oil price increase this winter will be "staggering."

Drill here, drill now, pay less. Google that and sign the petition. It is the only way out of this supply and demand mess. We can't windpower our way out of this. Or we could try a windfall profits tax. Yea right, who is going to pay that in the end? Is 8-10 percent really gouging? I...

    Anyone else stocking up?

Another thing. The ice in Greenland melts and we find Viking vinyards. What did they use to get there from Iceland.... hmmmm was it windpower? Wake up people we couldn't change the earths temp if we wanted to. We are not as important as we think we are.

    Anyone else stocking up?

Bullcrap, bullcrap, bullcrap. Tell me one thing. Why do the ice caps melt on mars when we have warmer temps on earth? Solar flares anybody? Another thing, NASA is always looking for water on mars. Why don't they just land their stupid little rover on the ice cap. Duh, ice= water.

    Anyone else stocking up?

I have 7 cords cut/split and stacked. Have 4 cords in rounds in a pile cut since last thursday. hoping to finish up that house site by the end of the weekend. That will likely be three or four more cords for me and the same for my buddie. So by next week it wil be 14 or 15 cords with 8 left...

    Hand Splitting can be painful!

Next time pass on the wood and have them call me. It is not worth the pain.

For all in the know where is the proper cut to fell a tree --> img

I've never used notches like 1 and 2. Are those used sometimes? For any specific purpose? I have the basic manual that came with my saw. It always shows notch 3.
