    baileys online and logrite's.

impressed This thing is pretty robust! I was not expecting the handle to be this diameter and had concerns of bending it etc... Don't think it could be bent during normal use.

Filling space btwn insert pipe and flue

Flunked the test Put the torch to the panther and although it did not ignite it just melted away. I'm pretty sure that my stove pipe doesn't reach directly applied torch temperatures but I'm going to get some of the Roxul from Lowes. $35 is worth trying and will use the remainder for some...

Filling space btwn insert pipe and flue

Doesn't sound right I'm in the same situation as you. I have my stove pulled right now and just poured a new heart pad to level things out. I looked up the chimney and can see the gaps. I just called our local stove dealer and asked about stuffing the area with Rockwool and he said based on...

    SUPERSPLIT knock-off

Was on the DR Chipper site today dreaming about one of their vacuum baggers., like I do every year when the leaves start to fall, and they now make a SuperSplit type splitter. Looks and functions the same but is cheaper?? Maybe I missed this on another posting but this is the first I've seen...

    Woodshed floor

Old decking After getting motivated this year and tired of dealing with snow covered tarps, I'm building my wood shed. part of the multi-stage project was to reuse the old deck I tore off the house or it was going to the dump. Once the shed was completed, 17X8, I had left over 2x6 decking...

    Iron and oak log cradle

had to drill Yes, I had to drill holes for mounting. I'm surprised how it holds as I sometimes roll a pretty good split piece on to it. I also like the fact that I can stack on it and then roll them on to the splitter rail and not have to stop to pick up another piece. When I occasionally...

    Iron and oak log cradle

Iron and Oak this is one I purchased on Ebay from I think either blaze33 or flame33, can't remember the name. It is a back saver, can hold a good bit of wood too.

    New dolmar guy here

trees in Kansas???? When I left Hawaii to come back to Kansas I had to send a photo of the Kansas Forest Department (I think that's the name) here in Manhattan because nobody believed there were trees in Kansas. I really screwed up last year when the California dealers were dumping their...

    Drill Attachment for Stihl Chainsaws

I pulled out my 1990 Stihl brochure (I need to throw some of these things out) and the model number was a BT-310 Drill, It says that it can mount on; 009,011, 012, 020, 021, 023, 024, 026, 028, 034, 038. It takes drill bits from 3/8 to 1 1/4". It looks very similiar to the photo in the...

MS 660, Should I get one

Now I'm leaning towards porting and muf mod on the 372. I already have the 24 and 20 inch bars for it and like the feel so I may have to put the CAD at bay and see how the mods curb the cravings. This is what is good about this site. Lots of opinions mixed with experience.

MS 660, Should I get one

Sadly my stock 372 won't do that. Quite impressive!

MS 660, Should I get one

I cut firewood for the house. OK, I know I could do this with my 026, and I don't sell firewood, and don't have money to burn, but..... I actually have fun cutting firewood and is a great stress relief of the everyday grind/stress of the job. So when it comes to toys, I mean tools, I go for...

MS 660, Should I get one

they'll give me the 660 for $940 with a 25in bar but want $850 for the 460 with the same size bar.

MS 660, Should I get one

the 660 is a bit heavier and bulkier than the 372 but ...... I can get a good price on a 660 and looked at the 460 but for $90 more than the 460 I can get a 660. The dealer seems to wanting to move the 660s so the price is pulling on my Christmas bonus $. Now I'm thinking of porting the 372...

MS 660, Should I get one

372 no mods My 372 is running stock, blahhhh. I haven't jumped to the ported, muffler mods that seem to be the standard around here. One of my winter projects is to start on one of the 026s and see the difference. My 372 has 15 tanks through her and is nice but doesn't scare the bark off the...

MS 660, Should I get one

Don't really need one but have the itch, CAD, but don't want to be disappointed. I already have a 372 and like it but that damn CAD! Bigger is always better???? I started on this site with an 026 that has served me well and always thought it was the only saw anyone would need. I don't...

Thankfully, the woodlot is only a short walk away...

Thanks for the title I'm terrible at IDing different types of trees. Thanks for the title, I just ordered it from Amazon. Hopefully I'll at least get better with a good guide. Cut some wood today and I'm totally lost as to the ID. I initially thought it was hedge but has a much brighter...
