Rip off report: Tired of paying $1,135.62/gal. for 5% injectabale imidacloprid? $50/gal. read here

Injection solution companies are charging WAY TOO much for specialized (not so special) formulations. $300/L ($1,135.62/gal) for Ima-Jet 5% Imidacloprid. Here's a sectret: Dimethyl Sulfoxide is the organic solvent used to dissolve Imidacloprid powder into a solution. Used on horses and...

Should I replace all the "in" boom hydraulic lines while the bundle is out to replace damage?

Thank you! Just fighting the "if it isn't broke don't fix it" vrs. "do it right the first time".

    on road diesel

Bio diesel blend or 2 stroke oil (200:1) mixed with either FPPF or Opti Lube fuel additive is added to all my diesels with High Pressure Common Rail injection system (pre emmision years). All four were in the top performing slots of wear reduction in one popular study.

Should I replace all the "in" boom hydraulic lines while the bundle is out to replace damage?

Have a '94 Altec LB650A, from a visual inspection one of the 1/2" x 61' in boom hoses was "bubbled" on the exterior sheath. My local Altec stated you can't just pull one so they pulled the bundle of ten (2 x 1/2", 8 x 3/8") I believe. Three more 3/8" were damaged inside the boom. They will...

List of Upgrades to Vermeer SC252

Any tips on removing stuck main pivot under the machine which allows boom up and down? Smacked with an 8lb sledge and drift pin and nothing. Next phase is to heat it up, but that's going to toast the paint job...

List of Upgrades to Vermeer SC252

I would dare to say the ultimate cutting system will be a single large rotatable tooth opposite each other on the wheel. Only two teeth. Like an 1100 series GreenTeeth.

List of Upgrades to Vermeer SC252

No down side except quicker grinding, much less teeth to change, much lower cost when hitting rock, and 5 minute teeth swaps. Next step when I change cutter wheel bearing, I'm going to have all the cutter wheel LASER'ed off except the 4 inches of steel 180 degrees opposite for mounting the four...

List of Upgrades to Vermeer SC252

I have not tried the wear sharp, but I will test them and leave a review here if you send me some. I am using the 700 series. I think I may step up to the 900's for durability, but only after all my 700 hardware is worn out.

List of Upgrades to Vermeer SC252

You paid about 3-6x's what a pump should have cost. I have been using both my machines for years with small pump pulley, no probs. I love that it increases boom speed so you can move the cutter head a lot faster. Move chips aside, move the machine side to side, etc.

    ZigZag !

Zig zag is dangerous. Several recalls for cracks in chain, and some failures too. Do you want to see family at the end of the day? Get the Spider Jack or use standard friction hitch cord.

2-26-98 Terex High Ranger XT-5 52 FT TOO OLD TO BUY???

Well decided to pick it up. $12,900 + tax. Made some calls on the boom. Safety recall on lower boom cracks in the steel. Terex will reinforce for free, or pay for certified welder. Arranged that. One hose need replacing due to sun scald and cracking. Bucket leveling system needs removal...
