    Pittsburgh area Stihl ms261

The stihl shop guy in valencia is a personal friend of mine. He has some test logs out back and would be more than happy to let you try out a new stihl. Best time to reach him is in the evenings or saturdays.

    New vs. Used 200t

Get a new 200T. I didn't like the 020av top handle saw from the 80's. But the early 020t and later 200t are the best in my opinion.

Using 100ll AV fuel in a 4-mix engine?

Recently I saw a new super heavy duty 12 volt glove box chainsaw that has a cigarette lighter plug on the end. Guys are racing them at the chainsaw get togethers and nothing under 70cc can even come close. The best part is that it can also run on 12 volts or 100ll AV gas.:yoyo:

Using 100ll AV fuel in a 4-mix engine?

Just picked up a new stihl br600 magnum and absolutely love this machine. I have read many post's on the do's and dont's using 100ll av gas in chainsaws. What about stihls 4-mix engines? on road diesel

At the local fuel plant here the manager told me the red dyed off road fuel is the exact same diesel as the on road fuel. EXCEPT for the red dye and xtra road tax. That being said I use power service additive in all my on and off road compression ignition engines.

    Looking at add-on wood furnaces

Brad, Woodchuck and brunco wood furnaces are also very nice also. I have a jensen wood furnace that I have been using for many years. I heat 2100 sq. ft. and if I had more house it would not have any problem keeping up. I went thru the basement wall with a complete wall kit, then...

    My HT101 Sucks...

Like the previous post said use only high test gasoline and ultra synthetic mix. Buy the feeler gauge part# 4180-893-6400. You can do the valve adjustment yourself in 10 min.

    My HT101 Sucks...

Having ran both the 2 stroke and 4 mix pole saws the ht-101 sounded like it had a rag stuffed in the exhaust. That along with the not so snappy throttle and much lower rpm's took some gettin used to. I think the trimmer power heads fs75/80/85 will bolt up to a ht-101 clutch housing. I...

Sproket sizes and faster chain speed

Add a stihl dual port exhaust cover and retune the carb. I run an 8 pin on an 046 and 460 with a 24" bar. Both cut great with the extra power from letting the saw breath.

how would you do this job?

You can rent a small excavator. Put some plywood down and keep leapfrogging it under the tracks to protect the lawn. Check bobcat of pittsburgh in cranberry twp.

Got a job offer...what do you think?

Get your CDL. Having it will open alot of doors if treework slows down.
