    I appreciate it but that one may look just like this one after 3 hrs of cleaning like I had to do to the 340. Did it have a bad top end? Seems that stems from bad crank seals on these.

    I am re building a husky 340. It had bad crank seals and a cracked ring. So I ordered a new 45cc top end and crank bearing and seals. As I was cleaning the case up i could see that the case was deformed a little. I used red rtv to seal the jug to the plastic case also put some on the seal outer...

    How do you do that? It has a hole in the diaphragm we will try some yamabond form a gasket on it if that is what your talking about.

    Thanks for all the replys sounds like the owb wouldn't be a bad way to go. My daughters skin dries out from indoor wood heat, my wife has bad alergys from dust and smoke, the creosote smell that we had in our old chimney from our insert would give us headaches from time to time on hot humid days...
