    Stihl SH85 shredder vac....

Heck I used a Weedeater brand vac/bagger ($49 at K-Mart) for years and years sucking up all kinds of junk and it worked flawlessly until the day it died when my son used straight gas in it. I have no doubt that a Stihl brand unit would last longer and do the job better in the long run..

    Whats the real truth.....

I dunno, I still have 2nd thoughts and also 3rd and 4th on the merits of these saws. He has sold a heap of saws and I would just have to think that if that amount of saws were indeed stolen, there would have nbeen mention of it in the papers or on the news........I do know that a lot of JD...

A few years back I needed a chain saw and was pointed to a fellow that worked with me and told that he sold chain saws cheap. Well last thing I wanted was a saw that was "cheap" but sure would like an inexpensive saw that was not cheap. I asked him what kind of saws he sold and he replied Husky...

    Spark Plugs

What we were taught in tech school in regards to plugs / ignitors with 2 or more electrodes is: It is not a performanance thing as electricity is going to take the path of least resistence, and its not likely due to properties of electricity that it will follow over more than one in all reality...

Heated handles, Stihl won't sell them in us, Husky 346xpg???

All this talk of heated handles. SInce I live n the deep south where its hotter than he double hockey sticks, I wonder if they will ever come out with air conditioned handles for us southerners? :greenchainsaw:

    Spark Plugs

If memory serves me right from the various tech mech classes and schools I attended over the years you can usually go up or down one heat range in most cases and not hurt a thing as long as reach and type is no different. Too hot of a plug can make for a hole in the piston and too cold leads to...

    Spark Plugs

Champion sales man talked us into handling Champion plugs back then. They pushed the Silver Palladium plugs as being the best ever......bar none. We loaded up with a fair amount of them and they turned out to be one high dollar dissapointment overall. It was not uncommon to get a sled or other...

Yep just how I Like my women also! :chainsaw: I like to keep an el cheapo saw around for a throw down...you know like when the brother in law comes around begging to borrow a chainsaw, or to toss in the vehicle during a storm or carry just incase you get the good saw stuck. I have no...

    Spark Plugs

My 028 SU-per runs like a champ however my Echo 3400 is dead

Sure its a cheap and disposable saw, but its a fun saw to use ina brush pile or in a tree. I used it hard when it ran and got close to 8 years out of it. It wa always plagued with hard starting and was finicky in keeping it to run without having to goose the throttle all the time, but I got used...

My 028 is alive once more

Only took an hour or so to get it running, but don't tell the wife or she would not have allowed me to buy that new 270. I ran both the 028 and 270 side byt side and the 270 vibrates a lot less overall, and both had same kind of chain installed. The 028 was pulling a 20 inch bar and the 270 a...
