    Let's see your hearths.

these look very similar to the tile I want to replace except mine are large 16x16 tiles. I would just leave it because it actually looks pretty decent but a couple are broken and no longer attached. Your stove looks brand new..

    Let's see your hearths.

Looking for ideas. Needing to redo my hearth as it is falling apart. I used large ceramic floor tiles with a cent board base. The tiles have cracked and overall just looks kinda crappy. Don't want to do the tiles again. Thinking maybe a poured concrete pad or slate? I don't know.....

    fall's first fire.

I would have lit one this morning if I didn't have to sleep in the Peterbilt last night. Low 40's where I am and at home. Brrrr.

you've got to be kindling me!

While it may not be for everyone including me, I prefer my X17. The kindling cracker was invented by a little 13 year old girl for her school science fair project after watching her mother cut her finger while doing kindling. So even though I personally wouldn't buy it myself I have to give...

    Burls?

I know that me hitting the trees with the lawn mower is what's causing it. Just wondering if that scar tissue is what becomes a burl or is it something else that causes burls.

    Official trailer thread

Anybody use one of those old heavy duty military trailers? Been kicking around the idea of picking one up for the farther out trips in the woods for firewood. I also think it would sit better on my lifted dodge than a normal low utility trailer.

    Burls?

What causes burls? Asking because all my apple trees have what look like small burls where I have hit them with the lawn mower. My corkscrew willow has the same thing. Just looks like small burls at the bottom of all my trees.

    My cutting board chainsaw holder

Kitchen stuff. I believe it was like 15"x22" give or take. I bought two figuring I would need that much but ended up having enough to build two holders. Will probably give the second to my BIL for his tractor since he does a lot of firewood and has the exact same tractor as mine.

    My cutting board chainsaw holder

Finally decided to do this little project I have been putting off. Ever since dropping my 346 out of the tractor bucket. Then after our recent wind storm that dropped several trees and me having the saw riding at my feet on the tractor while I did storm cleanup. Figured no better time than the...

This is why we do what we do.

Damn you guys like your house hot! We keep ours around 65-67. If it hits 70 in the house we open windows cause it's too hot.

    Brrrrrrr!

I know of an OWB just up the road from me at a new construction home. I saw it on a walk and had to go back and take a second look to make sure I was seeing correctly. That's up here in NW WA.

    Chainsaw chop shop

I'm guessing this is pretty close to the truth. I wonder how hard it really is to determine if a saw you buy is in fact stolen or not. I realize there are serial numbers but honestly how many people actually keep records of them? I personally don't but likely will from now on.

    Chainsaw chop shop

WA is definately a guilty until proven innocent state. Says he is cooperating so who knows.
