I was considering one a couple years ago. I ended up getting a Wolfe ridge splitter.

I think my old Ram splitter was like 16 tons of that. It split almost everything I ever put up on it. My Wolfe ridge pro 28c hasn’t been stopped yet. It has a couple times with the 4 way wedge but that was me probably being dumb using a 4 way when I shouldn’t have been.

I tried those stroke limiters like in the link in my Wolfe ridge. they worked a few times. Then outta no where one exploded. So I stopped using them immediately. I do wish my return speed was quicker.

This is how I do it now. I can stack the back row to the top and the front row about half way up maybe a hair less with hardwood. That’s all she wants to lift when it’s green.

I used to use tarps but I haven’t covered my wood in quite a few years now. I bring it in the house in the fall so I don’t have to go outside to get it. I do get some of it from outside but 90% is brought inside.
