    The far-flung Homelite

I e-mailed the guy who won the first auction and his reply was that the new listing was being investigated by E-Bay.

    Homelite C-52

That C-52 is listed at 4.77 cu. in. I have one I just got working good. I'm looking forward to cutting up some firewood with it. It is pretty loud and kind of heavy.

    stumps

I was up in the brush chasing bucks around today and noticed some stumps that appeared to be undercut on three sides. These stumps weren't all that big maybe 24". what is the purpose for the two side undercuts? These were second growth firs in the coast range here in Oregon.

    Homelite 330

Craig, I have had a 330 for quite some time. Used it to cut firewood. I liked the weight and for what I was using it for it worked fine, however the plastic splines on the recoil starter are prone to strip out on the end and the rope wouldn't rewind when that happens.

    buying parts

I'm trying to find some sites where I can get some parts for these old Homelites of mine. Local sources aren't to helpful and on-line shopping is so quick. I know about Hawkins Bros. but their hours and mine don't mesh and apparently they don't sell over the net. Any help you guys can give me...

Art Martin: Will the Real Logger Please Stand Up

axes Art, I just found an axe like you described in the attic of my mom's house. It has five or six grooves filed into the handle on one side and maybe 30 inches below the head. Would you know what they are there for? My Dad cut timber for Weyerhauser up in Washington before they used...

    C-52

Does anyone know anything about a Homelite C-52? How big is it and how old is it? I just bought one on e-bay and now comes the hard part, explaining to my wife why I need it. Thanks

    038 magnum

I've seen several references to 038's made in Brazil. Can someone fill me in on what's different about them and how do you identify them. I recently bought one from the local Stihl dealer. He had sold it originally to the county and had maintained it on regular basis and they traded it in on...

    homelite xl-924

Thank's everyone for you responses and information. Let me run this by you. When I compare the spark from the 925 I bought to the spark on the 924 they appear to be equal. I checked it by pulling the plug and laying it on the muffler and then pulling the rope. Can I draw the conclusion that...

    homelite xl-924

Thanks Sedanman I'll try them. I checked out their website and got their business hours. It's to bad you can't order parts online my hours make it hard to call them during the week. John in MA actually told me about them some while ago, he's the one that told me about this site. I'm still...

    homelite xl-924

I'm new at this so be a little tolerant if I screw up. I need to tap into your expertise and knowledge. I have an xl-924 that won't run and it's been diagnosed as having ignition problems. I so far have not been able to find new ignition so I bought a 925 on e-bay. I figured I'd steal the...
