    Stihl 034 av

You rang?!! I'm retired, and, even before, I rarely visit AS. Andy (Lakeside) and I are friends still. Done a lot of tree work for him and the neighbors he's referred to us. Me doing some deadwooding on a pacific Madrona, circa 2014

    Bid this tree!

Northman,, you really are out to lunch.... The job was 2010, so the seedling began its life in 1908. The circumference at ground level was 32', not the 32'6" I wrote. You missed an image. And your reading comprehension skills need some work. The 27' log DID weigh 27k lb. It matters not to me...

    Who collects vintage saws?

I ran their piped 090 at Clearwater. And put Rotax Robert's race chain w/24" bar on my Greffardized 3120. It was.... fast! That was 2002. The saw is still going. I'll prolly sell it at some time. It can be seen in action in this vid. which made David Stice and myself better known..... Sorry...

    Bid this tree!

It was next to a multi-million dollar home in a gated, exclusive community. The likes of Bezos live there. Had pushed the carport up a foot, and nearby doors in the house wouldn't work properly. It was 102 years old. Had been bought for $7 as a seedling. Right tree, wrong place! There's...

Thought I'd share some old stuff.

Here's the largest we ever did... Giant Sequoia Mid 2010. 158' tall, 32'6" ft at the ground in girth, 70 or more yards of chips, a whole bunch of branch wood that we chipped the next day, 6 man crew day one, prolly 3 on crane day. $5500 crane bill for about 5 picks, plus helping load the...

Nice work, Sam!! I retired last year, pretty much...46 years was enough. I'm 73... Here's the largest we ever did... 2010. 158' tall, 32'6" ft at the ground in girth, 70 or more yards of chips, a whole bunch of branch wood that we chipped the next day, 6 man crew day one, prolly 3 on crane...

    Flashback to 2002 and 2003

Do an all posts search for "Clearwater Revival" Ignore the first few pages about the great band CCR.... The early AS days were awesome, and the Revivals were super! I was there both years. I don't think the 2004 event happened, but there are some posts about it. Oldtimers will remember, and you...

    Who collects vintage saws?

We had a blast... gypologger.. the Rupley brothers, Dennis Greffard... and so many more. I dunno if my images from the 2002 and 2003 Clearwater Revivals are still up... Pics aren't on my flickr, but 88 images from the 2008 Deming Log Show are here...

    Who collects vintage saws?

The TH is alive, but sadly, Butch Ballowe died a few years ago.. maybe about three... cancer it was. The way he was treated here was sad.
