    Good morning...Question...what advantage / disadvantage is there in gallons of water in outdoor wood boiler...looking at two stoves...Ridgewood has 120 gal and nature's comfort only has 80 gallons of water...need feed back please and thanks in advance.:msp_confused:

    the pump can be hooked up where ever right...I'm thinking it is easier to change and warmer...and how would a guy check out a co. that has new management?

    The way I understand it Craig took over and is under new management...really nice folks and is factory direct with a few display models in the state...That is why they are less money I guess...they use used 500 gal lp tanks...lp does not corroide the steel...just like new and the steel is 3/8...

    I have looked at all the brands and am interested in a stove built in Hearsy mi. the stove has a natural draft, still have to read and study more on that...the stove co is http://www.ridgewoodstove.com/ridgewoodsept.htm...they are made simple and are only 3495$ :msp_biggrin:

    thanks uncle john and h-ranch for your response....I had a firechief in the basement for a while and took out due to insurance...at least the mess will be outside and no hauling wood into the basement...they say the eat more wood...so I figure the time i saved by not hauling wood to basement and...

    I am tinking about setting up an outdoor woodstove(boiler) My questions are...Does the hot water circulate at all times? when the thermostate demands heat does the fan kick on to blow air thru the raditor into your house but not opening the draft or little fan until the water temp drops? Thanks...

    Thanks Triptester..I think without running DR down, and I am NOT...they need to raise the thing up...the 24 inch original height might be ok for some guys...I am 5' 8 1/2" tall and it was to short for me...maybe they should have it as an option...I spoke to DR and they told me it was short so...

    Fixed Well after a lot of thought I came up with this for raising the log cradle to apx 30 inches...1/4 inch flat steel and angle iron...just right now ...thanks again for the suggestions ...the first two pics are before shots :cool2:

    It is a 1973 JD140 H-1 ...ag tires filled with molasses and beet juice...it is the heavest fluid with the best freeze point and if you get a leak it won't hurt the cattle...what is your sugg for the dr splitter?
