    timberwolf tw5 price

I think you're going to be in the neighborhood of $5,500-6,000 if you want a relatively new one in decent condition with the options.

    Super splitter special edition model

From the specs on the website the only difference you can see is the motor but there's probably more given the prices. Give them a call. It's a pretty small operation and the owner, Paul, usually answers the phone or if not gets back to you quickly. I have the HD and did about 35 cords with it...

    Improving firewood production

20 cords is a lot of wood even with a Tractor Supply 22 ton. That was my first splitter and I did about 12 cords with it the first year. When I decided I was going to try and double my numbers I went for the Super Splitter and don't regret it one bit. The 30 cords I did with the SS took less...

On Chain Saw Sharpening and Sharpeners

Another vote for The NT $100 grinder. Can't believe I wasted so much time and butchered chains.

How much wood have you sold this season

18 cords so far. I sell by the face (1/3) for a $100 and half for $150. Have another 7 cords worth of orders lined up before Thanksgiving and then calling it quits for this year.

    Cord Wood Prices

The most I can deliver in a trip is a half cord for which I'm getting $150 and business is brisk.

Which Super-Split? J, HD, or Special Edition?

I got the HD with the 6hp Robin engine, off road (non-towable) tires and production table (which is a must). Perfect height for me as I'm 6'2". Got it last December and split about 35 cords already. I don't have a single complaint. I've run a Huskee, American and TW-5 and IMOH (and...

    Super Split?

Welcome to the forum and unofficial SS owners club. Glad to hear your satisfied with your SS. I still don't understand how so many people remain so skeptical when everyone who owns one posts such positive reviews.

    Saw cutting on a curve

:agree2: Put your bar on a perfectly level/flat surface and make sure it will stand up on edge. Also get yourself a grinder it will make your life much easier. Northern Tool has one for about a $100 bucks. My experience is that hand sharpening is good for touch ups but it's almost...

    Chimney Brushes

I got this one from Northline Express for my SS chimney and have been pleased with the results. http://www.northlineexpress.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=5SB-34807M

Would a tw-p1 be a good logsplitter for....

Hayubusa I don't have a video but if you're anywhere near the Albany area feel free to stop some time and give an SS a try. I have yet to encounter something the SS won't split. It might take a few whacks but with a 2 second cycle time that's not really a problem. Here's what me, my MS361 and...

Would a tw-p1 be a good logsplitter for....

:agree2: I started with a Tractor Supply 22 ton. Sold about 12 cords last year. Used the cash and upgraded to a Super Split. Did about 40 cords for this year. Also found an MS361 on craigslist for $250. Bought the TS splitter for $1100 and sold it for $900. Slowly get your feet wet...

    Anyone own an Appalachian Stove?

I was just offered a Model 36 which is probably 20 years old but still looks in really good shape so I'm hoping I get it up and running to use in the basement this winter. Looks like I'm going to have to track down something they call a transition duct because the opening in the top of the...

    Spliiter for hire?

I put my ad on CL for firewood and a guy emailed me saying he had some wood (he said "a cord or so") that he wanted split and wanted to know if I'd be interested in the job and what I'd charge. I told him $35 a hour (2 hr minimum) and said I'd have to check out what he had to see how much, how...

    wood pile photo's

My hobby has turned into a small business. I figure there's about 40 cords - burn 5 or 6 and sell the rest.
