I'll cast a vote for dual staggered based on looks alone.

    "You Suck" Thread 2023"--Pics required!

Owned Stihl saws for years...Have a half dozen of them still today, but had to see what the hype is all about....572XP The 20% off sale is a plus for the Husqvarna brand, but in my area the Stihl dealer still has the best product knowledge and support. Likely different in other parts of the...

The axis has a single engine and a single pump. Not sure which of the other models would run two engines. I believe they are all plumbed similar. No issue powering the conveyor and splitter both at the same time. Very well thought out machine.

I am told upstate NewYork can be fairly rural yet..? true..? That machine is a Eastonmade Axis. Had it three or four years now. It's a slick trick for sure.

    Pin holes in firebox.

I've had mine for a bit more time that that, but also am considering whether or not it's something I'd want to jump into again. My plan B would a high efficiency furnace and selling firewood to fund LP.

I'm thinking I like Stihl again

Looks like a 20" light bar from here. That's a pretty fast combination on that saw. I go back and forth between 20's and 24's on my own 462 depending on my mood that day. Good stuff.!

I grew up in an old farm house and the walls were full of balled up news paper...it worked...kind of. LOL

I'm thinking I like Stihl again

I've yet to run one myself but being real close to the 462 in weight, it's hard for me to justify it already owning more than one 462. Yet to hear anybody speak poorly of the 400. 🔥

How many ton log splitter do you need?

My Eastommade Axis is a 14 ton machine...will split or shear anything you put on it.

I don't use my heating system

Mine has to walk buy a LOT of firewood to get to my tank...once a year LOL Really surprised they haven't asked for it back yet.

    How many SuperSplit owners?

In the years I had my SS, the only parts replaced were the rubber bumpers and the bearing under the ram. I did also have 4 under the beam but never had an issue. Ram bearings usually got tight after splitting in weather. If I was proactive I would pull it and soak in trans fluid or oil. In 10...

    Making chain

I've been using 3 in 1 oil. Will give grease a try. I suspect more spinning while tightening is the trick. Thanks.
