    New 044 tank handle

Thank you Jacob j. I will see what the dealer wants for a new oem part from the US. I contacted tree stuff, and they said it comes with the flippy cap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New 044 tank handle

I'm accustomed to the flippy caps at this point, and actually like them! I just need something to make my expensive saw work again. I would prefer a screw cap just to be consistent with the oil tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New 044 tank handle

Has anyone tried one of these? My 044 tank handle busted on the bottom from years of stress (before I got it). I have only found 1 used tank handle on the market, it is $95 and pretty beat. This looks like an aftermarket replacement. I am curious if it is better quality than a very used OEM...

    my Stihl 031

That warms my heart. I reverse engineered / came up with the wima fix around 7 years ago. My 031 still runs with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Reviving 031 spark

I just checked the data sheets, and they are both "Very low Dissipation Factor" capacitors. I am pretty sure the MKPxx 0.1uF to 0.22uF 630V x% will work. Some 031s were spec'd with 0.1uF and others with 0.22uF....(i think). I bet either cap would work just fine.

    Reviving 031 spark

I am pretty sure that both the MKP4 or the 10 will work correctly, just make sure the physical case size works.

No problem. Check out the pix. I think this saw got a bad batch of screws of all things.

I think this saw had a bad batch of screws.

This saw had never been wrenched on. The torx heads are in perfect condition, just shallow. Corrosion resistance is a benefit.

What's the best backpack blower on the market?

Blowers are useful, but mist blowers are more useful. I added the SR stuff to my BR400. Not a current model, but wow is it nice. Put 4 gallons of water and 1 ounce of 25% bifenthrin in the hopper and say goodbye to any and all bugs. Here in Bedford NH, 50% of the ticks have Lyme disease. I...

Looking for a Tach need some help.

I use the TT-20k with my leaf blower. I can check the RPMs while wearing the backpack blower. It is also nice for checking RPMs on the log splitter while running logs and outboard motors with the cowling on.

    Dolmar 5100s refused warranty

Check your PMs. I sent the info. I have never even been into that particular dealer, do I don't want to flame them publicly.

    Dolmar 5100s refused warranty

I just rebuilt one that had the classic lean seize failure. I am pretty excited to see how it cuts, because it runs so nicely out of the wood. I will get some logs tomorrow, but will have to wait due to the 97 degree outside air temp.

You're correct. It was an easy saw to work on. I just said that it should have been even easier. Here is my quote: "I found this saw a bit more difficult to work on than it should have been."

At what point did I say that the saw sucked?

The reason I compared them to Stihl is, Stilhl is the only other brand using T27 that I know of. Poulan uses T25, but those have always been nice and deep.
