562XP Project - Who Likes Puzzles?

Yes, that is a proper seal. Those cases do come with seals installed. The two holes are the generator mounts for the heated handle, "G" version, just ignore them for your build.

    Dolmar 5105 No Start Issue

After having replaced much of the saw for new parts already, I am trying a new carb - what the heck, right? This is my first Dolmar build and can't let it defeat me. Vids later, once it's ready. Thanks all. Chris

    Dolmar 5105 No Start Issue

Hello all, I recently did a complete rebuild on a 5105 with a scored piston and sloppy crank bearings. Everything went well including a touch of mild port work & MM but no carb or intake work yet. For post-build testing and tuning, it started easily on second pull, but the tune was nervous and...

Husky 55 Hyway CP timing numbers

Mfgr date may be key here - I happened to do the same install this spring - HW 55 CP kit on a 2001 55. Kit was purchased this March. Pre-porting #s with factory gasket were: 100/123/66 The 66 seemed odd, but it checked out. Squish? Huge, like .060+. Tested fine, a little ho-hum.) Ported...

    Husqvarna 338xpt California

The Cali intake boot has a metal flange that bolts to the cylinder. I have had two of those boots develop a tear at the flange, causing fits with idling and dying when the saw is bumped, due to air flooding the intake downstream of the carb. I finally got a new $$$ boot installed gently, and...

    High-grade wire source?

Thanks. That's the info I'm looking for.

Sold Jonsered 8XX/9XX or Husq 288 Coil

I need the lower half of the 2-piece ignition. Upper and lower would work, too. Used is fine and OEM is best, I assume. While we're at it, conversion bar studs from the 820 thread-in 10mm to standard Husky large mount would be nice, too. I'd like to run regular bars and nuts on this one. Thanks!

    High-grade wire source?

Can anyone suggest a source for a spool or at least several feet of oem-quality ground wire similar to what's currently used in better saws? Aftermarket wiring seems stiffer and far more fragile from the start. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks

Want to Buy Husky 51 or 55 For Rehab

I just finished up a friend's 51 rebuild and was pleasantly shocked at the mod gains and love the simplicity of the platform. In the pursuit of more experience with these, I'm looking for a 51 or 55 to work on, preferably with one piece ignition and not missing too many parts. Non-runners are...

    Jonsered 2150 Tank Venting Issue?

Vent mod for that tank about 1/3 down this page: http://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/masterminded-346xp-tips-and-tricks.270175/#post-5142749 Saws using these breathers may or may not have a hose attached. I did the mod with all my saws equipped with that tank. No problems since.

    What cylinder is this?

Husky 350 49cc of unknown vintage. Is this an open port cylinder or a closed port with bolt-on transfer covers as on the 52cc/45mm iteration? I do not yet have access to a shot of the serial # plate. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Faulty AM Coil - beware...

Being relatively new at this and purely a hobbyist, I set up a farmertec coil on a Husq 350 port/rebuild project recently. I have done several at this point and this work is generally simple and routine. However, this coil presented some very bizarre behavior that through me for several loops...
